If you have a problem with a hotel not providing what you would consider to be adequate service or facilities, and you pay with a credit card, you may , in most cases, dispute the charge with the credit company. In fact, most good credit companies welcome this. It provides them information and after all YOU are paying THEM for the service. Not getting payed is the only incentive these cut rate hotels have towards keeping the basic standard up. Yes, you get what you pay for but by the same token you should be willing to not pay for what you didn't get, particularly if you were promised it.
