I have been to Treasure Island nearly a dozen times and have stayed at a few different places. Sunrise Paradise is a great value!! That being said, it is not for the Don Cesar crowd. It is a little, mom and pop place that is a little old and maybe threadbare, but the staff works to keep it clean. The woman at the desk seemed pre occupied during my check in, but hey, I am not gonna let that ruin my trip....I am on vacation!!!! The motel has a great location and super rates. I will be back.

A small family-run hotel is located very close to the beach. No breakfast, just coffee (very bad quality). This is excellent place for a quiet holiday away from city noise...

Rooms are clean and bright. But some items of furniture were a bit old.

This is our third trip to Treasure Island in as many years. The first year we stayed at The Bayside; it was nice but not that convenient to the beach. the second year we stayed at The Suncoast, right on the beach! For the price, the Sunrise can't be beat. Granted, it's not directly ON the beach; however, we stayed in a suite, with a kitchenette, which gave us way more room than the motel style room at the Suncoast, and it was about $100 less.
We were able to see the beach, and sunsets, from our bathroom window. The room was freshly painted and had new flooring. The bed was a little uncomfortable, the plastic shower curtain liner needed to be cleaned with bleach, or replaced, and the shower head needs to be replaced due to poor spray. However, the room was clean and, for the most part, quiet. The maid came in every day. The pool was clean and lovely. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and Caddy's Restaurant, almost every day we were there, so we could enjoy the free, beautiful sunsets.
If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, stay somewhere else. If you want an inexpensive place on the beach, stay at the Suncoast. If you want an even more affordable place, with more spacious room, and don't mind a short walk to the beach, stay at the Sunrise.

Well for the most part the reviews about this place seem to be correct its:
* a great price
*good location - walking distance to the beach
*non-existant staff memebers
*OLD and NEEDS MAJOR UPDATES - but goes back to why the price is great from the
-kitchentte
-beds
-bathroom
-sheets
-etc.


I personally felt like something was crawling on me the entire time so if I find out that the place had bed bugs would I be surprised nope pissed but not surprised!
I slept with my shirt over my pillow and wish I had another blanket to lay on and to cover myself up with.
Really this place is what it is a place to sleep with a kichnette. The beds are old and the springs are done. Again if you need a place to stay for little to no cost then this is the place for you if not then DO NOT STAY HERE and find another place. Hope this review helps.
