“Loved Our Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

We stayed here for a week in early-mid May and had a fabulous time. It was a 2 bedroom condo with one king, two twin beds and a sofa-bed. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained. There were two large bathrooms (a master and a main one). We had a small ocean view and loved sitting on the balcony. The beach access was right across the street.

There is free wireless, but it wasn't very reliable on my iPad. Laptops sometimes have a stronger antenna, so it might have worked better if I'd brought that.

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our week stay. Since the condo is right next to Publix, we were able to cook a few breakfasts and lunches.

The pool was clean and there was no one there when we were using it. It's not huge, but it's a good size for a handful of people.

The parking lot is partially covered and sits under the building. We must have missed the crowd because it was very open. It also made for a nice quiet stay.

“Great Value and Beautiful Beach!”

My wife & I stayed at The Palms of Treasure Island in a two bedroom condo with another couple over the 4th of July weekend.

Located directly across the street from the beach, the condo was much larger than we expected. It had a large balcony in front with a nice view of the beach, and another balcony off the master bedroom with a great view of the intercoastal. The full size kitchen was great, plus there is a Publix grocery only a block away so no need to bring supplies.

Although the decorations were sparse (beige walls!), overall the condo was very clean and offers a significant value vs. staying in a hotel.

The rooms are huge with a great layout. A balcony on the intercoastal and beach side that provide a great view in the morning and evening sunset. Everything we needed was in walking distance, publix, restaurants, beach, nite life. We cant wait to stay there again.

Room Tip: The end units have both views

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Palms Treasure Island and are looking forward to our stay there next year. Great location and view, lots to do and well equipped nicely laid out units. Any questions or requests that we made were taken care of both quickly and pleasantly by Mike or Cherie, just made for an overall nice vacation experience for us.

Room Tip: This is a condo hotel.

“Horrible experience!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2010

This was the worst place I have ever stayed! Where do I start? Here is the list of problems:
Bedroom window blinds did not fit the window(too small) so you could actually see in. There were no curtains so we had to hang blankets to block out not only someone being able to see in but the light right outside the window. I stepped on two carpet tacks (sticking up from the carpet strips) by the breakfast bar and I was barefoot. The phone did not work. There was no hot water in the bathroom. One of the outside lights in the parking lot apparently had been hit by something so it was pointing at the building. The light was blinding so we could not keep the drapes open in the LR. There was no table and chairs, only 3 bar stools. If there had been 4 people staying here, the fourth person would have to sit on the couch to eat. Having to eat at the bar was ridiculous! There was no furniture on the balcony. They finally brought two plastic chairs and a little plastic table (the size of a stool). They were those cheap, stackable type. There was never anyone at the desk in the lobby and the wastebasket there was full and overflowing the whole time we were there. The women's restroom in the lobby was a filthy mess and was never cleaned. The men's was not much better. There was frequently something keeping the door from the parking garage propped open. So much for security! I had to go off site to check in and out. I made many contacts with the "resort" general manager and he did finally refund some of my money due to all of the problems. I did read on a site after returning home that the place had filed for bankruptcy so I understand all of the problems. I believe my list of problems is enough to keep anyone from staying at this joint. My advice...never do business with these people nor stay at this place!!
