We stayed here 4 nights and found it to be an excellent choice and value. Sunsets from the property are fabulous. A real old-time FLorida Keys feel. The efficiency room we occupied was spacious and well maintained. Contrary to another review we had a comfortable kIng bed (and I am relatively hard-to-please in this regard).

It's difficult for me to read some of these reviews. My husband and I love staying at Atlantic Bay. We live on the water and going to this "resort" makes us feel like we are at home. I certainly don't expect it to look like my house; this is not why we go there. We are more interested in the grounds; pool, excellent beach area, beautiful sunsets, meeting a wonderful array of new people from different states and countries and the awesome weather! We have traveled to the Florida Keys for years and feel that the price is outstanding compared to other places that we have stayed at. Yes, the place is not new nor does it claim to be. It does not give you "shampoo, " but it does provide coffee and it's close to everything! We just returned from Atlantic Bay Resort and our son and his wife are leaving tomorrow to spend a few days while we "babysit" our grandchildren. In February, we will again take our annual trip, along with a few of our children, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and some friends. We feel that the biggest asset to Atlantic Bay Resort is that managment is certainly always more than accommodating!!!!!! If you come across a problem, speak up and it will be taken care of; don't wait to get home and then think about it! Can't wait to get back to PARADISE!
And...having just returned home last night from a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay at Atlantic Bay Resort, I felt the need to express my opinion!

Was our first trip to the Keys and booked this place sight unseen except for internet site. Very good price and beautiful grounds. My husband and I stayed in efficiency room and it was very large, clean and loved having the kitchen to make our own meals. Our only complaint was the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, probably the worse we've ever slept on in a hotel and it was so creeky that it would wake one of us if the other rolled over. Otherwise we really liked it. Loved the tiki huts on the beach as it rained our entire stay, but we were still able to go read by the water without getting wet. We found the peacocks and chickens wandering around to be very charming.

We stayed in one of the one bedroom rooms on the top floor. Nice and quiet at night, great sunsets, spacious, close to local beaches and restaurants. Our only complaint would have been their beach on the weekends. Their was a group of kids blaring music so we ended up going to a public beach down the road as opposed to staying their for the day. We also got the off season rate for this place, anything more than that would have been a bit much for what the place was. We did love the peacocks and chickens running around the yard though!
