We stayed in this hotel last year in March for a Spring break trip, then my husband and I were back again for our honeymoon. This hotel was spotless, extremely comfortable, smelled nice, had a wonderful breakfast, and the pool (with mini waterfall) and hot tub felt private and secluded because it was against trees, rather than open space or a highway. And the value was great! Make sure to book for 3 nights or more and you can often get crazy good rates... we stayed for $59/night! It was amazing, and we'll definitely be back!

Stayed at the La Quinta Inn, Tampa for two nights and we had no issues. The room was adequate and the service was good. The breakfast was pretty good but didn't know it was included until the last day of our stay. The staff were also helpful in giving us directions to the main sites. The Inn is located close to restaurants (iHOP is on the property) and there is a shopping mall just down the street. It is also located 5 min from the Airport.

I have been staying at this La Quinta for a few years now. When we first started going there the staff was extremely friendly, took care of any problems and made your stay a pleasure. In the past 2 years we have been staying there we have been seeing a disgraceful decline. The property is literally falling apart and the management could care less. We just stayed there and the whole week the internet service in the rooms did not work. We were told each day that the manager would be there in the morning and it was the first thing on his list. Honestly, I don't think they have a manager and if they do he is in the wrong business. They never did fix the internet service, but kept telling us to call their internet support 800 number which we did and were told it was a problem with the hotel. We paid over $80 a night during the week and these days the internet is a very important part of people's every day life. In order to add to their revenue they have allowed Dominos Pizza to put their logo on their keys which are much cheaper as I was told by one of the desk staff and if you put it near your cell or other electronics it will knock it out and render it useless. Then you have to go down to the desk each time and get it reset. Last year the door to the pool area, the one further from the desk was not working with the keys. This year it still isn't working to this day! The toilet in the room would not fill back up once you flushed it unless you wiggled the handle to get it started. The La Quinta Hotels have been my favorite hotels to stay in for many years until the last 2 and now I am done with them. Don't think by going to one of their other locations in Tampa by Bush Gardens (that is filthy) or the ones in St. Pete or Clearwater is going to be any better. We tried and all you can do is shake your head. How did such a great chain at one time fall to such a low in their Quality, Service and Cleanliness? I guess they have gotten too big and think they don't have to worry about those small details anymore. Do yourself a favor, don't ruin your vacation or night having to stay in a over priced poor hotel. There are many nice hotels in Tampa and the west coast, please stay away from this hotel and pass on the word. I am writing on every travel site that I know and can find, times are not good for people and they should not be making it worse. And they don't even care! Please, pass this on to everyone you know!
