Hotel pluses would be the free coffee, fruit, and bagels in the morning. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Now the negatives...my room had a funky odor which would not go away. There was a used q tip on the floor next to the bed, and what looked like vomit. Food stains on the walls. It was like they didn't think the room needed to be clean because their rate was low. I understand only one cleaning a week, but a new guest should have a nice room. I stayed in the cheapest suite, queen studio, I believe. It was very cramped. The bed was very uncomfortable, I had neck pain every morning. This area is pretty noisy as it is by International Plaza. The hotel is also directly behind a Penthouse strip club. I moved across 275 to Homestead Suites, and so far its a major improvement for less money and more peace of mind.

if not for a great "name your price deal", would have not even completed check in,,, Desk clerk was far from friendly or even helpful. Checked in after his lackadaisic approach taking care of the 4 people in front of me. Room was OK, can't remember last time I had a 32" tube tv, hotel has a dingy flat look to it. not bad but far from good. Key card was a constant problem, had to get it recoded 5 times, each while "bothering" the aforementioned desk clerk. Don'r even get me started about asking for a sheet, blanket and pillow for the pull out...No Pillows available, "check in the closet" he said, There was not a closet in our room I told him,,,,O' Well.....breakfast was another joke @ 9:15 when I advised the clerk, there was no coffee, 3 empty containers, she said Breakfast was over at 9,,,,however the packaged bagels and muffins were still out...Ashame to ruin a entire stay on bad service

My hubby and I stayed for one night for a concert and overall we had a nice stay. The location to the airport and stadium can't be beat, it's maybe a 15 minute drive or less to each. Upon our arrival at the airport we called the hotel and the shuttle arrived promptly. Check in and out was fast,easy and all times I had contact with the front desk people they were very helpful and nice. The room was adequate, the bed comfy, we didn't use the cooking facilities. The one thing I would say they could improve on was the cleanliness of the drawers/furniture/kitchen. I realize this hotel is an extended stay type hotel and so some people may stay longer and use all of the furniture/drawers/kitchen, but then all of that should all be wiped out and cleaned properly, which I could tell they weren't. But for our short stay it was fine.

The stay was a short business trip. The shuttle service was free and excellent. Shuttle was "on-time" would even run you around the immediate area within reason for free.(Just tip the driver guys. Do not be cheap.)

The staff was nice and accommodating, very professional and friendly. Room was clean and what to be expected for under $80 in a major city.

I read a lot of reviews before I travel. I am so tired of people nit-picking these hotels. People act like they should get VIP service because they pay $50 for a room! I am also tired of hearing about carpet not being new and furnitiure looking used. People, its a hotel for under $100 a night. If you want new stuff, pay $250 a night and stay at the Ritz.

My last comment. If I hear about "bugs" in Florida rooms, I am going to jump through the monitor and kick butt! Florida has bugs, there is nothing you can do about it. These roaches everyone is talking about are palmetto bugs, are they roaches, well, yes, but not in the same sense as Northern roaches.

Where you have a lot of people and a lot of food, you are going to see the occasional Palmetto bug. Do not go to Florida, especially in the summer and spring if you do not like bugs!
