This hotel was not actually our first choice. We couldn't find any rooms closer to the family we were visiting and this was the first place we found with availability that met our needs. The service was great - we were cheerfully acommodated with whatever we needed. Our room was clean and large enough for the two of us ( I was traveling with my Mom to visit family). It would be pretty tight with kids older than elementary age, especially with the bathroom. It was pretty small and all in one room (the sink/mirror area was not separate from shower/toilet area). There is a free continental breakfast that is fine.
Here are a few things that could use improvement. We were on the 3rd floor and the minute we stepped off the elevator there was a VERY strong odor of cigarette smoke; however, it was not in the room so we ignored it, but it was there for the entire week we were there. The fitness room was disappointing. There was a treadmill, elliptical & an incumbent bike with control buttons that were broken or rubbed off so it was hard to get it to work properly. There were no weights, mats or anything else to work out with. I didn't use it again. The breakfasts were fine, but on the weekend when they don't have as many visitors, not as much was put out & there was nothing that was just a meat protein...it was omelettes & some other combo food like that.
We never went to the pool or hot tub, so I cannot comment on those.
The location is decent. During the week it was quite busy with a business clientele & the weekend was much less busy. In one direction there is a nice mall and plenty of restaurants, etc. the other direction is pretty industrial.
Overall, we were pretty happy with the hotel

This was our first time to stay in a Hampton Inn and we loved it. We've never stayed in a hotel where they provide you with lap tables for your laptops or notebook computers. We got the impression that the hotel chain is geared more for business people, but it was fine for our family of 6. The rooms were decorated nicely and the beds were awesome, especially the pillows. The complimentary breakfast was good and the chef even came out to help us. It's located conveniently near I-75 but not so close that you can hear the traffic. I enjoyed the nature surrounding it and even birdwatched a bit around the pool area while our sons swam. The pool was pretty dinky but clean. We had 2 connecting rooms at the end of the hallway up on the 3rd floor. It was quiet the whole time. The receptionists were friendly and helpful, giving me change for the washer and dryer, which I used. We stayed 3 nights. We'd definitely stay here again.

I STAY AT HAMPTON INNS ALL THE TIME AND THIS ONE IS NOT A GEM! The front desk is rude, property is old, there are raccoons running around at night in the parking lot, and the worst is that when we asked for a pack n play for our 1 year old they gave us a FILTHY dirty one.....we won't be going back to this one.

My truck and trailer were stolen from the parking lot when I recently stayed there. I have left the manager 2 messages and she has not called me back. No security cameras, no help. After I reported it stolen, the on duty manager went in the back and never came back out. I think they could have done something about my room charge or asked if I needed a ride anywhere.
