Stayed here for 6 days while visiting my brother who lives in the area. Had a very nice room, nice continental breakfast, courteous staff. Hot tub is open late(or 24 hrs? can't remember now) so I was able to relax after my long flight! Only problem I had during my stay was I wound up with a bunch of bug bites. They weren't bed bugs..fleas most likely, but I wasn't sure I was getting the bites from the hotel until my nephew started staying with me & got the same bites. Just traveled to Tampa again & didn't stay here this time because the rates had gone up quite a bit(I had gotten a really good price on this trip) & I regret not paying the extra & staying here again! Would of liked it of the pool would of been heated, but it sounds like most pools in the area aren't.

We appreciate you taking the time to post a comment about your stay with the Wingate By Wyndham. The bites are odd as we are a not a pet friendly establishment and never have been; I certainly hope you let us know if you experienced issues with your stay as we would have investigated and rectified any issues immediately! Glad you were able to relax in our (yes-24-hour) indoor Jacuzzi tub and a trip to our beer and wine lounge would probably have made for a more restful day as well. Always check with the property direct when booking a room as there are times when we have unadvertised promotionals running that can only be accessed by calling us direct –we might have had a good rate for you!

“Amazing hotel and service!”

We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Tampa for a conference at USF and this hotel really made the entire trip. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the shuttle service to USF was an amazing advantage and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. It was great to sit out in the sun by the pool and also relax in the indoor hot tub. The fitness center was also excellent. The General Manager, Manuel, was extremely kind, very professional and courteous, as was all the staff. The wireless internet in the room and computer printing services in the main lobby were also a great plus. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Tampa area and would definitely return!

This hotel is very conveniently located. Just a short drive from pretty much everywhere in Tampa. We stayed here as a family New Year's Eve 2011 and New Year's Day 2012. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is a true pleasure to interact with. Management is super!! It also helps that it is safe, and it offers a hot breakfast which is a plus when traveling with little ones.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped with micro-fridge. If you are looking for a place in Tampa, this is the one to stay in.We always stay there when we go, and will surely return soon!!

We have stayed here several times while seeking treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center, across the street. Each time the staff has been absolutely wonderful. They are very solicitous, courteous, professional and accomodating. This describes the General Manager, Manuel, the front desk staff, housekeeping, and the gentleman who maintains the breakfast bar. We will stay here again, I highly recommend this hotel. It is extremely clean. It makes for a pleasant stay!

Will stay here whenever we are in Tampa. Friendly staff makes sure everything is right all the time. Complimentary shuttle service to Busch Gardens is excellent and a nice touch. Rooms are clean,quiet and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel anytime.
