Spent two nights at this hotel and enjoyed every minute. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Staff was courteous and prompt with service. Will stay again.

This is a nice hotel; and the staff is courteous, although not overly friendly. Nice room, comfy bed and pillows. One bad thing -- maids begin banging and clanging around in the hallway before 7 AM. Be sure to put out the "do not disturb" sign if you don't want them knocking on your door! As mentioned by other reviewers, the mini fridge prices are ridiculous. Be sure you don't remove something just to read the label -- you're charged the minute something is picked up. The toiletries are average to cheap. While the hotel was okay, I'm glad I didn't pay full price (had a discount). This appears to be an average business hotel trying to be a luxury hotel.

My stay at this hotel overall was fine, the hotel is nice, and in a great location in Tampa. However, as mentioned in previous reviews, the mini-fridge was a bone of contention. First, I was charged $50 at checkout for alledeged mini-fridge pruchases. (I did not touch anything in the fridge or the bottled water in the room.) The front desk was very understanding and credited my account.

Three days later, a mysterious $12 showed up on my credit card from the Intercontinental. I called immediately and again, they tried to charge me for supposedly opening the bottled water in the room. I did not have to push to hard for the accounting dept. to credit my account for the $12. What is most irritating about this hotel is had I not been vigilent, the hotel would have upcharged me $62.

I will not recommend this hotel to my friends.

we stayed at the intercontinental for one night before a cruise out of tampa. the hotel is very nicely appointed with ultra modern decor. the staff was very friendly and helpful, from the bus driver to the front desk clerk. the location is very convenient if you don't have a car...you can walk across the street to the mall or walgreens, or walk to the next corner and you'll find a starbucks and panera. we ate dinner at shula's steakhouse on premises. it was very good; i highly recommend it. all in all, a very positive experience.
