Recently spent 4day/3nights at the Doubletree in Tampa near the airport. Debra Johnson at the desk was great and took care of special "stuff" for us. Jenny and Jessica in the restaurant were also very nice and fun to deal with. Sportsbar food was ok, restaurant fare was excellent.

I visited Tampa for couple of nights and check in to this hotel. as soon as I enter the building a great smile welcome me. and help me with the check in process. my stay at the hotel was great and awesome because of the customer service i have experienced. I expected a pool view with 2 queens, wifi would be extra, or free in the lobby. Was put in a street view/lanai and free wifi. Room, linens, bath, carpet were fresh, clean and newer. Nice little shampoo/toiletries. The corner of the shower had black whiskers on it. :/ Everything else was spotless. The bed was wonderful. Mini-fridge was turned off and I left it that way. Coffee maker, iron/board; no hairdryer. Quiet & good a/c and heat. Wifi was iffy in the room. Front desk people were very nice, but I got different answers from different people there; no one answer for any question. The servers, in the way too busy bar and restaurant, were hard workers and very good. They offered a free shuttle service to the airport and local attractions. Overall a very nice stay for two nights.

My wife had a recurrence of an ear infection while I was in a business meeting. The front desk staff - Brenda Anderson and Debra Johnson - helped her find a nearby emergency clinic and arranged for her transportation there, as well as to a local drugstore for medications. They were also able to arrange for a very late checkout - all with a smile on their face. We loved the service, and would definitely stay there again.
