“Average Hotel - Good for Pre-Cruise Stay”

I stayed at the Westin Harbor Island after a $75 bid on Priceline. I definitely wouldn't pay more. As other reviews mention, the public areas - especially the hallways - are run down and have a very shabby appearance. The room itself was clean and comfortable - no complaints.

The hotel has a shuttle to the cruise port which is close by. I didn't use the shuttle, opting to walk instead.

Staff was very friendly.

The area is nice; I like downtowns. I'm also a runner and it's a great place to just start running from - into downtown, UF or the Riverwalk.

I'd stay here again, but only if the prices was right.

“Hotel Needs Work”

Stayed one night at the Westin Tampa Harbour island and glad it was not two...staff was incredibly accommodating and very nice after I told them I couldn't believe this hotel was a Westin as it was run down. It really looked ratty...and had torn carpeting in lobby, halls and room, chipped toilet in room, broken toilet seat, walls were dirty with marks, hallways were all dinged up apparently it will have some renovation within the year.

“Nice hotel”

We had a great time. Joe was the BEST bartender ever!!! Offered great dining recommendations, sightseeing suggestions and overall was genuinely nice. I would definitely go back!! Beds were great!

“Excellent Service”

The Main desk staff was very helpful in advising about local accomidations and attractions. We were in Tampa for medical reasons and they were most helpful in providing shuttle service to and from Tampa General Hospital. Jesse W. Davis and Nate Foley went out of their way to assist us in our transportation (valet and shuttle) needs. You could not ask for better service.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the waterway, if available.

“Needs some TLC”

Stayed here for business. Rooms were very average and kinda clean. The hallways in the hotel were not clean and not well maintained. Conference room was decent.

Strange occurrences:
- Elevators took FOREVER
- Erratic performance of the escalator out front
- Restaurants were understaffed for lunch / breakfast was ok, but the staff was weird

Location of the Lightening game was good. But would not stay here by choice again. The Marriott across the way looked much nicer.
