“Ideal Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I grew up in the Tampa/Clearwater area adn this hotel is an ideal location to take advantage of both areas. It is very close to the airport-you will be there within 10 minutes! The hotel offers a lovely view of the Cortney Cambell Causeway, especially if viewd from Armani's restaraunt on the top floor. This establishment used to be one of my favorite fine dining places in all of Tampa. They have excelllent food, amazing cocktails, a very relaxing piano bar, and an outdoor patio that overlooks both Tampa and Tampa Bay. I highly reccomend the other restaraunt, Oyster Catchers for the best Sunday brunch I have EVER experienced!

“Not the best for family travel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This hotel is a good business traveler hotel near the airport. It is out of the way from downtown and Busch Gardens, so the extra driving and parking costs are an inconvenience. Wireless internet costs $10/day, which is a huge rip off, and the business center computers are usable by swiping your credit card. Breakfast for a family of four was over $80. We would have gotten a better value at the Hyatt Place.

Room Tip: If you are an aviation buff, you can get a great view of the airport and watch planes land all day a...

“nice hotel near airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

The hotel is nice and convenient. The only downside is there are no stores, markets, restaurants within walking distance. We took a taxi from the airport and had to use the hotel for everything. It is a very nice hotel with a boardwalk over a marshland. The pool area was nice, albeit small. The hotel staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Everyone!! Usually you meet a couple sour apples, but everyone was great. The other thing that was a first: the room service omelet came so hot I had to let it cool off 5 minutes before eating it. How often does that happen? It's usually lukewarm. We did eat at their seafood restaurant (I think it was called the Oyster Catcher) and it was excellent. So, if you are looking for a place to stay by the airport, I would recommend this hotel.

“Beautiful property...perfect wedding venue!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We visited many Tampa/St Pete Hotels for my daughter's wedding and found this to be the perfect venue. The property is lush with vegetation and and it sits on its own private waterfront
peninsula with perfect privacy and seclusion that you think you are on a private island. Even the runways from closeby Tampa airport are quiet...(when the wind is blowing the right way)
We got a special rate for our guests to stay either in main hotel or in the casitas by the water.
The main hotel is lovely, lots of glass, with wonderful restaurants and relaxing poolside atmosphere.
Our rehearsal dinner was at the Oystercatchers..private and delicious...
Our reception was held up on the top (14th) floor of hotel in Armanis restaurant...what a view and
wonderful food...top rate...from the white leather chairs,to the elegant bar area with baby grand piano and the floor to ceiling windows is just beautiful....with fantastic sunsets and views of Tampa Bay...a real feel of South Beach elegance to say the least...
Our wedding was at their small beach by the casitas...private and lovely with the waterside restaurant/pool in the background. Wedding guests were shuttled between beach and hotel by the free hotel shuttle.
Our after wedding morning breakfast/brunch was at Petey Brown's buffet...guests loved it...
After a terrible monsoon rainstorm on Saturday...the hotel had the beach cleaned and beautiful the next day for our wedding...
Everything was Perfect.(property, accomodations, food, service, and wedding planner) ..a Perfect choice in Tampa Bay,,,for a wedding or vacation!

“Expensive but good beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I liked it, however for the price I think it was a little over priced for the rooms, however professional staff and great food was a plus. Maybe I like not getting ripped and finding value compared to spending money to feel good. I love Tampa but not sure I'd recommend it.
