In short, even a college student would be disgusted with everything about this hotel. The only guests that should book here are ones that prefer to pay by the hour. Be warned they are changing the sign to the Stadium Inn with a Buccaneers ship as the logo. It is still the same service and facility.
So much I could write about this dump. At check-in, there were 3 people at the front desk, with only one actually doing anything. The other two, one of which was a manager, were socializing and going outside to have cigarettes while the line grew. It is notable that the hotel was completely booked for a Guavaween party being held at the "Hawaiian Village" pool so one would think they would be prepared. You would be wrong with that assumption.
The first room had small bugs with white wings crawling all over the nightstands and the window air conditioner was on wooden blocks with a visible opening to the outside. While it was a non-smoking room, clearly nobody followed that rule as it smelled like a dirty ash tray. I politely (and discretely) advised of the bugs and asked for another room. I was advised that because they were sold out and rooms were pre-assigned they could only refund my money even though it was 3 pm. Normally I would suck it up, but in this extreme case we decided it would be better for our health not to stay in that room.
Ironically, as we were leaving I saw a friend check into his room which had garbage on the floor, the mattresses thrown around the room, a smashed television and no air conditioner unit. I have been to dog kennels that smelled better than that nasty room. While it turns out the room was under construction and erroneously assigned, it emphasizes how pathetic this establishment is to even make that mistake.
Since the rooms have double beds, we were able to stay with a friend wasn't using one of the beds. Notable that the toilet didn't work and it took about 4 hours to have it repaired. Comparing that room to numerous others we saw during the course of the evening, it is pretty sad that her room was the best one since it didn't have bugs and the air conditioner worked.
In summary, have your worst enemy stay here, but make sure to given them a steel brush to shower with when they get home.
Room Tip: Go somewhere else, unless you want the type of place that charges by the hour
