This is the review I wrote on a comment card and mailed to the hotel manager:
Quality of hotel is great, but the service from the hotel staff would lead me to not stay here again (except the shuttle driver was great.) 3 different front desk staff each displayed their incompetence & lack of concern for errors made (taxi scheduling (twice!) & locked out of my room.)
I love HI Exp hotels and have been staying at them for years. The hotel manager finally contacted me. I let her know that I was very busy and would try to call back. She never attempted to reach out to me again. I work in Quality Assurance and we encourage our employees to keep calling to ensure that the relationship we have with our clients remains positive. For the manager to stop after 1 attempt and not even offer to rectify the horrible service in some way, just shows how much they really care and where the front desk staff gets their training. I sincerely hope the service has improved since I was there in Jan. 2011.

I've stayed at this HIE several times and in general, it's clean and well maintained. This time, after traveling for 10 days, I decided to do my wash at the hotel. The washing machine worked fine, but when it came time to dry my clothes NONE of the 3 dryers at the hotel worked. There were no signs indicating they were broken. I pumped $3-4 in them before I gave up. I had planned to wear these clothes to dinner with friends and figured 2-3 hours would be plenty of time to wash and dry them. It wasn't. I asked the desk clerks to put them in the hotel laundry dryers, but they refused to do it. Needless to say, I was wearing wet jeans to dinner. I'm surprised that HIE doesn't have higher standards for their laundry equipment. Also, the laundry room was dirty! If you're going to offer the service, please make sure the equipment is working and please identify the machines that are not working for your guests.

I am on my 3rd week here and so far this place is absolutely great. Clean rooms, good staff and with the exception of the breakfast opening late I have enjoyed my stay here. I am scheduled to return next week and have no issues in coming back.

Room had no hot water in the shower/tub in the morning. Complained to desk, someone came, still no hot water. Complained to desk and got a 10% discount. Wont be returning.
