My husband and myself had a 4 night 5 day stay at the Mainsail in Tampa. Are accommodations were beautiful. Clean rooms and very comfortable. We had every thing that we needed.The people that work at the Mainsail were better then great. They meet are evey need. The Mainsail would be the place that we will be staying if we get the opportunity to be in the Tampa area. Loved it :D

This was our second visit for 2 nights to take in the sights and activities Tampa has to offer. When we walked in our room, my wife went to the bathroom, pulled open the shower curtain, and the tub had dirty water sitting in it with a clogged drain. First call to maintanence. We had a nice walk in closet but no hangers. Call to housekeeping. The room had a coffee pot and we brought our own coffee and filters but, only one coffee cup and no spoons. Call to housekeeping.

We enjoy sitting on the balcony and before my wife sat on the chair she wiped it down with a wet paper towel and yes, it was filthy. If we had more than 2 towels for the weekend stay we might have used one to sit on, but we had none to spare, and I was tired of calling for things that you would expect in most lodging facilities.

It is too bad they let this property go because it is a nice set up like a small one bedroom condo. But after going back a year after our first visit, I'll probably look somewhere else for our next visit. I got the room at a very good rate, less than $80 a night so I don't feel too bad. You do get what you pay for.

And by the way, they are across the street from the airport. At the end of the runway where the jets taxi, turn around, and run their engines full throttle for take off. No problem if you are not sensitive to noise.

Consider looking for another place to stay.

Family of 5 sailing out of Tampa wanted to explore a little bit of Tampa before and after the cruise needed accommodations for all of us to fit comfortably.
Per their website Mainsail fit the bill.

Condo style, two bedrooms with walk in closets with full length mirrors (nice), tv, dressers, table, two bath, eating area, livingroom with tv, couch, chairs, refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee pot, sink, Utility closet with vacuum, broom.
The decor was simple, furniture was a bit outdated but clean.

Housekeeping
We needed an extra blanket, this was delivered promptly and courteously.

Business Service
Free internet access in the lobby and no charge for printing documents (boarding passes)
two computers to utilize.

Shuttle
Free shuttle anytime of day within 6 miles of Mainsail.
Free shuttle to/from airport and Port of Tampa

Amenities
Nice pool/hot tub area
Large laundry area 2.00 for washers 2.00 for dryers.
Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating options decent menu fair pricing
Bar
Fitness room-large array of equipment
Clean bathrooms in the lobby area.

Negatives
Room
A bit outdated, missing or broken insignificant items that didn't destroy our vacation but worth noting. Wasn't perfect, definately a well worn room. Could use updating.

Restaurant
Would have been nice to have complimentary coffee available, but the rate made up for that inconvenience, Plus a small 8 cup coffee pot is available in your room.

Overall;
Mainsail is a great option for traveling families; groups, individuals . Great value.
One other thing worth noting is that this is located right next to Tampa airport so you do constantly have air traffic noise.

They provide all transportation during your stay, to and from airport and cruise port. Nicest people who let us stay after cruise before late flight to use facilities! Really good value...
