We stayed at this hotel for Gasparilla weekend. It was the perfect location to enjoy the festivities. The hotel is clean but it is slightly old and dated in the rooms. Wood is scuffed, carpets are looking a little old, that type of thing. We had a balcony and enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing at night watching the boats on the water. The walls and sliding doors did seem to be a little thin with noise travelling easily when someone talked loudly in the halls or when the ice maker was being used. The staff was very friendly considering the crazy loud events of the weekend. The hotel restaurant was ok for a burger and they did have a bar for a nightcap.

We stayed at this hotel prior to our cruise and really enjoyed it. The view from the pool of the river is beautiful. We had two rooms, since we are a family of 8 and both were clean and nice. We found a wonderful pizza place just a few blocks away and bought a HUGE pizza that was really wonderful. In the morning I ran a few miles on the treadmill, there were 4 of them, which was nice as well as other equipment and weights with a nice view of the river. When we were ready to head to the port, the shuttle driver loaded us up and had us there in less than 10 minutes. A free shuttle is a nice perk and we really couldn't think of anything wrong with this property.

Where to start? No Hot tub. No Sauna. Carpets and draperies in room filthy. Mold in bathroom. Although we were on the Concierge level, amenities were terrible. We were suppose to have a free continental breakfast. First day, we arrived 15 minutes before closing and everything was already wrapped and on the carts, despite a steady stream of patrons attempting to get their food. Second day, out of coffee, eggs, croissants, plates, milk for cereal, juice.... need I go on? When we told the front desk, they were quite ambivalent.
