The hotel states you can purchase high speed internet for $4.99 for your entire stay. I do not recommend this, as the high speed is a joke, and you will be very lucky to even get reception in your room (the max is 2 bars, and that was in the hotel lobby). The mattress was maybe 2 inches thick and very lumpy, you could feel every spring on your back. We thought if we rotated the mattress, the bed would be more comfortable, only to find someone's underwear (which you could tell had been there for quite some time) and 4 AA batteries under the mattress. We decided to purchase our own sheets as the hotel sheets had a nasty yellow stain on them. We also bought our own towels, because of the nice stains on those as well. We were in a non-smoking room, which was right about the smoking rooms, and our room reaked of cigarettes. It seems as though there were a lot of people living at the hotel - which wouldn't be bad, except they seemed to party every night, and had no respect if you wanted to go to sleep early, or sleep in late. The water in the hotel was yellowish green, so don't drink it. After returning home, all of the clothes we had, along with clothes we had purchased , smelled like smoke and dirt. We definitely learned a lesson on this one - we plan on paying a little more to get a little r&r. We suggest you do the same.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and that was a mistake. Dirty room, bad mattress and a general rundown appearance. Weren't even sure we wanted to sleep in the bed. Thankful we had only booked it for one night. We have stayed at Studio Plus hotels and never had a problem, so I was hoping Homestead would be on the same level. WRONG! BAD CHOICE!

I stayed at the Homestead Suites Tamarac on Mar 18-21,05. I highly advise not to book a room in this dump. The room was in such a state of decline and disrepair that I was embarressed that I brought a guess. First they would not answer the phone to give directions from the airport. Second upon arrival we were told there would be no maid service for the entire stay. We were told to bring the towels to the front desk for exchange.The carpet was filthy and hadn't been vacuumed or shampooed in ages it seemed. There was laminate coming off the cabinets. The bathroom sink was broken. The refrigerator had a gasket hanging off the door and would not close. The room was dated and the decor was deplorable. I was there on a busy spring break weekend and didn't complain because I chose not to ruin my vacation with confrontation that would fall on deaf ears. When I asked for coffee and sugar the desk clerk said there was none. Later a kind maid got it for me. When I filed a complaint with Orbitz they called the hotel and the management stated the room had been renovated 2 weeks ago ( what a lie). I'll never stay there again and would never reccomend it to another.

Flights were wonderful!Hotel was fair-clean, but with NO extras.No Housekeeping on weekdnes No Hair dryer, soap, shampoo, extra pillow, pool.
