We stayed in a suite for two nights because we were touring FSU. The rooms were nicely styled and included a black fridge and microwave. The bed was fairly comfortable and the large plasma televisions in both the living and bed rooms were a real treat. Unfortunately, when we tried to purchase a movie through the pay per view service, the service did not work. Additionally, we had to take the remote control back to the front desk twice to be reprogrammed.
The worst thing about the room was that it was musty and damp. The smell was absolutely overwhelming and since the hallways smelled exactly the same way, I had to assume it smelled like that in every room! I wondered if they had experienced a flood.
Also, the weekday breakfast buffet was much skimpier than I have seen in other Choice hotels. It ended at 9:30 and by 9:15 the cranky hostess was literally shooing us out of the eating area. On the weekend they only serve continental breakfast that includes lots of cold bread items.
Overall, I would probably not choose to stay there again, unless I could be assured that they had cleared up that horrible smell.
