I had to travel for business and our agency recommended this hotel. I was pleasently surprised! I went to FSU and always remembered the cheap highway hotel/motels. At this hotel I had I remind myself I was down the street from my college bar Kens - this hotel is so far removed from the college scene.
Rooms reminded me of the W in DC - where the bathroom is literally open to the room, but easily private by closing the sliding glass doors. Comfy bed, flat screen TV - what more can you ask for when traveling for business?
We enjoyed the lounge at the top of hotel with a cool patio overlooking "the city". They had live music which was great - the scene was a bit strange though. Not the business traveler or local yuppie crowd I expected - more old and sloppy drunk..although it was kind of empty for a Thursday night.
My only complaint was room service in the morning. I request a parfait and coffee at 7:45-8:00 and it came at 8:15 - with no coffee. I had to leave at 8:20 so it was a waste of $20.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there when I come for games. And may I suggest the restaurant Cypress just down the street...yummy!
