For a diehard alum and fan of the University of Florida, staying at the home of the Florida State Seminoles was a little scary and intimidating at first but, the staff at this hotel couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. .
My airplane came in in the morning and unexpectedly I was able to check in and get a room that same morning. They didn't have to but they were very accommodating The front desk lady was nice enough to give us directions to and from different places in the city. The hotel is within a few blocks from all the museums and things to see in our capital city. I highly recommend that every Floridian see, learn and take time to see Tallahassee.
The breakfast at the hotel was the best one I have had in a Residence Inn. Yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit are common items at the breakfast buffet.
My internet connection was extremely slow and barely usable and they even sent a technician to my room. Most hotels would have said, "oh, well...". Very good customer service because even though my problem wasn't solved, the tech gave me an Ethernet cable to make due. Kudos to this gentleman.
The only minor complaint I had was that the room didn't feel clean enough. There was an old towel under the bathroom sink and it just didn't leave a good impression. The workout room was small and a bit inhospitable.
Overall, I had a great stay and I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the capitol or the university.
Room Tip: Higher floors are less noisy.
