After reading some of the other reviews I was a bit hesitant to stay here but I was pleasantly surprised. Clearly a 2-3 star hotel in amenities but a 3-4 star hotel in quality, closer to a 4. Check in was efficient, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I had a room with 2 queen beds and a pool view. Hotel is new, clean and convenient. I work in the hospitality industry and this hotel is of the "express class". What's most important is a clean, quiet, safe and friendly place to sleep. I will stay here again.

I'm sorry to see such negative reviews for this hotel, as we have had only positive experiences (Two one-week stays). The facility is brand-new and is kept very clean. Management and staff are very friendly and helpful. We've stayed in a king and in a 2-queen room - both are great, though I preferred the king bed which allowed for a small sofa and coffee table. My mom stayed in a nicely accessible handicapped room with a roll-in shower. Internet service was available at no cost and was trouble-free. You can't beat the free breakfast and other amenities for the price. Location is convenient to highway and only a few miles' drive to plenty of shopping and restaurants. (Cracker Barrel is right across the street.) There's some nightlife if you look for it, but keep in mind this is primarily a retirement community. Of course it's not a 4-star hotel, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for great value!

We recently stayed at this property with our Girls Softball Team. We should have known we would be in trouble when we first booked our rooms. Our confirmation number was simply "Harry". Upon check in all seemed fine, common area and rooms were clean, beds comfortable.

On our second night we arrived back to the hotel after 7pm, (Saturday night). The girls had just played 4 games that day and were looking forward to the pool. The "Manager " continually came out to check on us. As if to make sure we were behaving, and told us the pool closes at 8pm. WHAT???? All of the children 12yrs and up were supervised by their parents.

When we requested pool towels we were told "we don't have any" All of our guests had to use their room towels, which couldn't be replaced because there were none of those either. I actually had to dry myself with a hand towel after my shower ther next morning.

We were constantly told don't talk too loud and warned not to let our children run up and down the hallways. Our girls have a 10pm curfew and know better than to act anyway other than well mannered.

Our team travels frequently, and rest assured the next time a tournament is set, Holiday inn Express is off our list. This feedback will be passed on to other cities with travel teams as well.

A missed wake up call in a hotel that brands itself for business is definitely a no-no in my book, but that wasn't it.
After i specifically told the cleaning lady that my room was ok and she didn't need to clean it that day, i got my door opened 3 times (no knock) on the same day by some other employee (he wasn't a cleaner).

On top of that, one day they "failed" to clean my toiled for some reason. I went down, and asked for it to be cleaned. I came back after a long day, only to find out the toilet was still dirty. The following morning i asked them to please check and clean my toilet. I came back at 5pm and only after i went downstairs and complained (again) they decided to clean up.
