When we booked we were stated we would be staying in a villa close to the beach. We also informed them we would have 2 adults and 1 child, she is 4. When we checked in they seemed all flustered that we had a child AND told us the room they booked was having the carpets cleaned and gave us another villa that was NOT as close to the beach. When we checked out the villa that was suppose to be ours there was a car there, I think they overbooked and instead of admitting their mistake lied about it! They also charged us an extra $70 for the week for having a child. We had a 1 bedroom villa. We have been going to Siesta Key ever since our little one has been with us and no place has ever charged us for having a little one! PLUS they charge your credit card for the $300 deposit, and charged our card for the full week stay. We asked them "You will be taking off the $300 deposit right??" They said yes. We checked out on 5/7/2011 as of 5/26 our credit card still has the $300 deposit. When I called them on 5/23 they said a check would go out in the mail next week. When we were told initially the charge would come off our credit card.....and a month later they send a check...which by the way they never told us a check would be sent, she confirmed they would remove this from our card..... There are many other great places to stay. We go to Siesta Key 2 times a year and have been for the past 10 years! This is the first and last time we will stay here! In fact we are going back this Oct and made reservations elsewhere!

We have stayed at Aloha Kai and places nearby but wont' again. #25 rates keep increasing but for what??! Nosy "grandma" and bossy sister-in-law (??) keep pestering us the whole time. Not what i pay my good money for! The owner keeps increasing the rates but it's not worth it. Lots of otehr places nearby for less money and better value.

Strongly recommend this hotel. The value for the location was tremendous. The hotel is a bit dated, but is well kept. You are absolutely right on the beautiful beach, a private and great sized beach at that. You are about 20 minutes walk to the public beach, if you wish to take a walk. Located about 10 minutes from the nice downtown area where there a plenty of places to eat and entertain yourself and family. Very satisfied with the hotel. Safe area. Lends itself well to family. Big, heated pool. Only challenge is that there are no restaurants near enough to walk to. Enjoy!

We stayed in a unit that was termed 'motel'. We were surprised to find that we had to supply our own TP after use of the 1-1/3 rolls provided. We stayed five days and were only allowed 4 bath towels for that time. You can only 'exchange' linens if you stay 7 days or more and that is only on 2 certain days for about an hour or so (and you must complete an exchange form). Office is only open during the day. The grounds are very clean and the area was very quite while we were there. Bed was comfortable and room was clean although dated somewhat. For the rate I believe they could update the bedspreads and supply TP for their guests. My first visit to the area, so really can't say how this compares to other lodging.
