Not what I expected. However, I did report my issues to them and they "made my stay right". They are in new ownership and the transition is probematic. However, based upon their response to my concerns, and their friendly nature, I would stay here again. It is an excellent location.

This hotel is convenient to lots of Sarasota attractions. It's your standard Comfort Inn, which is tidy, comfortable, economically-friendly and just a decent place to stay a few nights. The front desk agent was sooooo nice and helpful and even gave us ideas for sight-seeing and restaurants!

Stayed for three nights and was pleased with room which was clean,quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was usual continental but nice nevertheless. We had trouble with the phone in our room but it was changed when found to be faulty. Staff were pleasant and helpful and location was OK. The computer with internet access in the lobby is great for people without laptops.

The price was right -- a bargain. The room was spacious and clean. Service was fine. The location was not so attractive to the Florida-seeking eye, but served its utilitarian purpose near the airport. That's about it.

The fitness center was very skimpy. A closet with $150 machines. But again, that price.
