The Good: ok price for a 2 double bed room with a mini fridge and microwave and free WiFi. - $60/night Had hot breakfast - BUT you only got a choice of 1 egg and toast, 2 eggo waffles, cold cereal or a bagel. - not to exciting. =(
The Bad: Everything else... Toilet leaked, we think the room may have flooded before, the carpet was all wet and EXTREMELY dirty. The light switch didnt turn any lights on. The outlet at the desk for a computer or whatnot didn't work - so the lamp on the desk wouldnt work either. There was an electronic safe in the room but it didnt work either. (was charged for it! per day) The plug in the tub was broken off - kids couldn't use th tub. AND cockroaches!!!! a huge one in the bathroom and a smaller one crawled onto a pop can NASTY!!
Told them when I checked out (because we dscovered the more nasty problems at the end of the 2nd night (stayed 3nights, got there late the 1st so went straight to bed) So it would have been a huge inconvenience to move all of our stuff to another room - which would more than likely have the same problems.. AND it was Saturday night - new years eve, small chance finding a new hotel now... The manager was very rude and yelled at me about not saying anything earlier. Told him the problems are all there (gave him a list) and he could go see for himself. He promised he would and would call me and refund me with anything is wrong - never heard from him.. nothing. Bottom line: They suck.

• Housekeeping received additional training in the level of cleanliness required of them as our employees.
• Maintenance was notified of the problems you encountered with the light switch, outlet and electronic safe in the room assigned to you and instructed to see to fixing the problems.
• Maintenance was informed of the broken plug in the tub of the room assigned to you and instructed to repair or replace it.
• Maintenance was informed of your report of cockroaches in the room assigned to you and instructed to look into the matter and see to any necessary extermination.
I hope that the next time you visit our area, you will once again choose to stay at Days Inn Sarasota Airport. I think you will be greatly pleased.
