very clean room and property, did ask to change rooms because of a smoky odor. Request granted immediately. FRIENDLY front desk personnel.

We have stayed in 6 Hilton Garden Inns this year. We like the chain.
At check in I should have known this one was different. The 2 receptionists offered us 2 other people's reservations before finding our correct one.
We were not prepared however for the experience in the restaurant where having sat down we were shouted at from across the restaurant by the Server that he was on a 10 minute wait. Not actually understanding what this meant but also not being given a menu nor water (this is Florida, water is not just a courtesy, it is a life saver) after 5 minutes of sitting I went to the bar where I had seen signs of life, and asked for the Menu and some water, to be refused both by the aggressive server. He suggested we contact the Manager. We did and to be fair a satisfactory compensation has been agreed and honoured.
This is an airport HGI. We were awoken 3 times by aircraft noise (and we are hard of hearing). The soundproofing is not up to date as in Fort Myers and Savannah HGI airport hotels,
The breakfast was usual excellent HGI standard.
Shame about the other problems as the hotel location is perfect for seeing Crosley Powell estate, and Selby Gardens, both I which I recommend for a visit. Next time we come to the Gulf side we shall stay at the Longboat Beach Hilton. .

David Alexander and his team went beyond "outstanding" to ensure all my needs were accommodated. I reserved the Sarasota meeting room for a 2-day training session; phone, projector, screen, and technical support was provided. I also had seven large boxes shipped to the hotel in advance of my arrival and the staff members held them for me. Breakfast in the meeting room was always fresh and delicious!

The pool was simply perfect; warm water and a beautiful starry sky overhead. Every single staff member treated me like a VIP. This is also a very family friendly place. The beds are the most comfortable that I've encountered during my travels this year; fluffy comforter, assortment of pillows, and the ability to change the softness/firmness of the mattress.

Housekeeping also took excellent care to ensure all amenities were well stocked. Fridge, microwave oven, and coffee maker in the room were helpful, but there was also always fresh coffee and cookies on the lobby.

Clean and well managed, very attentive front desk staff. Breakfast was fast, fresh and well stocked on the two mornings we ate at the hotel. We enjoyed a King suite room at this hotel which was fabulous because we were traveling with our 2 yr old granddaughter. With the true suite room, we were able to have separate rooms (our room had a door separating the two rooms, unlike so many ‘suite’ hotels today where you cannot close off the two rooms). Large bathroom, clean and well equipped.
