The location is hidden. Cannot walk around etc But once inside you are very suprised. Very large, clean and modern rooms. Excellent staff and atention to guest. Ideal for families or sports teams. We were there for a tennis tournament. They treated us excellent. The pool is very nice, the gym very good. And great room service. We were very suprised at the mix of price/quality

I have stayed at every hotel in the area - even the hyatt and hyatt place - for the money the holiday inn at the airport is awesome - its clean - has a nice pool and jacuzzie - steam room -
quiet location off of university - where there is plenty to do

A group of us recently went to Sarasota for "Thunder on the Bay", a motorcycle rally. The host hotel was the Holiday Inn located near the airport - about 2 miles from the downtown festivities. The price was moderate, and we just expected a Holiday Inn. What it seemed like though, was an expensive boutique hotel - higher end furniture, bedding, larger flat-screen, etc. Lobby and atrium were also nice, and even a gas fire-pit out back ! No airport noise - I don't think they really fly after 11:00 PM, or at least I never heard it ! To summarize - a lot better than I expected for the price ...

Very modern Holiday Inn & Suites across from the small airport. My son enjoyed watching the planes on the runway. Surprisingly, no noise whatsoever!

Rooms were very sleek & clean with all the modern amenities. Since I needed the microwave to warm milk for my son, they accomodated us at the restaurant downstairs.

We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub and loved the “fire pit” just outside the pool & restaurant. It was a wonderful way of winding up the day.

Staff (Scott was at the front deks most of the time) was very helpful & genuinely friendly.
