My husband and I stayed here the weekend of May 6th. I was a little hesitant when he booked Sandpiper Inn based on some reviews, but everything turned out great. It is in a GREAT location, and the rooms are clean and lock just fine. The bed was comfy and I was happy to see the managers provided a fan as well (including the A/C). The only thing that would have made it nicer is if the manager/inn keeper was there to greet us, but other than that everything was great. This is a good value and worth considering for your stay in Sanibel!

We stayed here 3 nights in february. We don't like big hotels, but smaller, quiet places where we can relax. We found it all at the Sandpiper Inn. Very friendly owner and the appartment was great! Very cozy and relaxing. Close to the beach. Also a beautifull garden with palm trees, a hammock and even the possibility to bbq. Also bikes available to use. We loved it so much that decided to book an extra night because it was so beautiful and relaxing!

This is the worst place you can possible stay at. The owner is rude and yells a lot. The unit smelled, the AC didn't work, the door wouldn't lock and the owner was totally unreasonable. We moved out and found a much nice place for the same price....

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrive at the Sandpiper Inn. Our apartment was very clean, simple and had everything that we needed: linens, beach towels, beach chairs, bikes and a full (yet small) kitchen. We were a 5 minute walk from the beach or a 5 minute bike ride from a grocery store/diner. For the price, I don't think you could find a better, homey, comfortable place to stay.

The only problems that we had were that the stove would set off the smoke detector and the microwave would only run for 3 minutes before it tripped the surge protector. Neither was a big issue, but it was a little bit of a hassle when preparing dinners.

We were on our own for the whole stay, which was very nice. The office had all supplies and we would just exchange towels every 3 days. There was also a washing machine/drier for us to use. Bikes were free to use for 3 hours, but were on the old side - for a more comfortable ride, you may want to rent a bike from Billy's. Cable TV was welcome after long days in the sun.

We would definitely stay at the Sandpiper again and recommend it highly!
