Just doesn't get much nicer than this if you want a week of relaxation right at the shore. Units have fully equipt kitchen. The beach is right outside the window. Staff could not be nicer.

Sanibel has many miles of bike paths so you go just about everywhere by bike, and you can rent leisure bikes right on property, or go to one of several bike shops if you want a multispeed bike. Also, lots of hiking in land preservation areas, kayaking, boating, etc. If the weather is bad you can go to the island's movie theater, or drive over to Ft Myers, about 20 minutes away, to find shopping, movies, bars, etc.

This was our first trip to Sanibel and chose Oceans Reach due to the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed! The office staff was wonderful, finding us a 4 night rental as that was all the time we had and just being there for anything we needed. We stayed in 3B2 and the pictures on the website are just as they are in the condo. Some have said the kitchens are small but we did not go to Sanibel for the kitchens! We ate breakfast in every day and had two dinners sitting on the lanai and we had no problems. Very well kept grounds and very quiet except for listening to the waves! Having on site bike rentals was also a plus as we rented them for 3 days and rode over 10 miles each day on the wonderful bike paths throughout the island. Saw dolphins swimming just off shore and the shells are unbelievable. We now have our home when we visit Sanibel and we are already planning next years trip.

I simply love Ocean's Reach. Our family returns every year to enjoy a lovely condo just steps from the beach. We especially enjoy the lanai with a beautiful view of both sunrise and sunset. In fact, every condo faces the beach so it doesn't even matter which unit you select. If you go to their website (www.oceansreach.com) you can see the interior of every unit, each with its own charm. The office staff is especially friendly, and they'll make you feel right at home. You'll also find a lovely grilling area surrounding by native flowers and butterfly bushes, and even a pair of nesting Osprey. One of my favorite things to do on Sanibel is to hit the bike trails -- and you can rent a two-wheeler right on site. No trip to Sanibel would be complete without seashells: We've combed the entire island, and it turns out Ocean's Reach is also the best location for shelling. Still haven't found that Junonia though, so I guess we'll be heading back next year!

Family vacation with husband, Mom, Daughter and friend. First time in Florida and Sanibel so beautiful and restful. Perfectly quiet other than the waves on the beach. Quiet days of beach walking and sunning. Dolphins sighted off shore-along with a shark one night. Probably best not to swim at dusk/feeding time. Ocean was too cool to really swim in, which made the heated beach-side pool an extra special treat. Found a million shells, of course. Ocean's Reach made everything really easy. They were helpful and kind, the unit was clean and well appointed. I would want to stay in the same unit when I return.
We did carry-on only for our flight-if you do this don't buy a snow-globe as a souvenir or it will be confiscated by TSA. That sucked my daughter was really bummed to lose it.
Walked through Ding Darling-tons of birds and a gater.
Drove to Everglades for an airboat ride-it was fun-once was enough. Don't have to do it again. Saw a couple of gaters and that was cool.
Teens went parasailing and that was awesome. It looked really fun and what a beautiful view for them too. Loved that!
Jerry's is pricey-better to hit Publix on the way to the island and grab groceries-you will save 30%.
I loved Sanibel and Ocean's Reach. Can't wait to go back!
