“Second stay was even better than the first”

Blind Pass is such a relaxed, fun spot to stay. We loved it so much the first time that we brought my wife's parent back the second. The accommodations are not fancy, but are neat, efficient, practical, and relaxed. It is great being on the quieter side of the island, and so close to the beach. Make sure you paddle the bayou up to the end and explore the beach there. Great shelling, bird watching, fishing, tennis, swimming, and sunset watching. The great thing about Blind Pass is that it does not change...the best thing about it is its location.

“My Beautiful Secret Sanibel”

This was our first time down and it was beyond our expectations. It was a like a little tropical island hideaway, without having to leave the US. We stayed in F210 and it was just wonderful. It was bright and well appointed. It had everything you could possibly need, although we didn't use the kitchen that much. We were always out and about enjoying the area restaurants. It was peaceful and relaxing. My son really had a good time. The walk to the beach was not long and it was nice that it was a private pathway. Also the great thing was that when you came back from shelling, at the end of the pathway before you get to the condo's there is a washing station to wash your shells. We definately are coming back next year, Blind Pass and Sanibel stole our hearts. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

“I'll never be happy with just a hotel room again.”

My family just spent a week at Blind Pass. We stayed in E103, and I would highly recommend it for any family needing space and value. There were 7 of us staying in the condo, and we had plenty of room and privacy to enjoy our alone time. We had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus walk in closets, etc... the owners had everything we could need to cook our meals, and they even had fishing poles, beach umbrellas, and tennis raquets so that we could enjoy all that the area had to offer. One of the reasons I chose this particular unit is because the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms had double beds instead of twins. It made it much easier since we had 2 couples and 3 children.
There was about a 5 minute walk to the beach, but it was beautiful, and it led to a rather empty section of beach. We found beautiful shells, and saw stingrays and dolphins. The water was beautiful and clear. The condos themselves were a little off the beaten path on the island, though that was still only about 8 minutes from everything. It made us feel like we were on our own private island! We couldn't ask for a better spot to spend our vacation- my kids all asked if we could come back again next year.

“Love the owners, convenient location to everything, clean, affordable, perfect for our family”

We found the Blind Pass Condo, E201, and the owners Sylvia and Joe on Craigslists and had the BEST experience overall!! This trip was special for many reasons; it was the first time our boys, ages 4 and 6, traveled on a plane and experienced the ocean and our youngest son celebrated his 4th birthday on the island! So we had high expectations for our trip to be memorable in a positive way. Well we can't say enough about how wonderful the trip was. We knew we had rented from the right people when upon our arrival we had a gift for our son waiting from the condo owners - so thoughtful! The condo complex was perfect for our family - the boys loved the pool and the close proximity to the ocean was great. Some folks have written that the walk is far - and that may be the case for people with troubling walking - but for our young, healthy family we enjoyed the short walk to the beach.

Couple things to be mindful of: if you want to purchase groceries get them on the mainland before coming over, or go to Jerry's - any place else is super expensive! We loved the Island Cow - vast menu, great prices, good for kids, casual, relaxed atmosphere and good service. Doc Fords had great food while the service left something to be desired.

If you are considering staying at one of the chain hotels/resorts closer to the Causeway (south/eastern side of the island) we encourage you to reconsider - if you like the crammed, touristy experience, go for it - but if you want a quieter experience where you meet friendly people from all over the world - this is the place for you!

Overall we loved our vacation and will stay at Blind Pass and rent from Sylvia and Joe again!!! Our vacation ended 4 weeks ago, we are back in Michigan and our boys are still saying things like "I wish we were back in Florida!" We can't wait to get back to Sanibel next year!

“Fabulous, Fabulous, Fabulous”

I really hope my review does Blind Pass justice!! I can't say enough about this hidden gem. First of all the location is perfect. It is located on the quiet end of the island about a 10 minute drive from the busier section of Sanibel and Captiva. We loved the secluded feel of Blindpass.
We loved being able to walk out to the beach, and not see a single high rise...just white sand and ocean. Some on here have complained about the long walk to the beach. We enjoyed every second of it, the beautiful lagoon, watching the heron and osprey, and talking with the other vacationers. It only took us 5 mins from our building and that was with a baby and a stroller etc.
Our unit E 102 was just outstanding. We loved the "beachy" decor, very roomy too. The owners went out of thier way providing puzzles, games, beach chairs, and beach toys. The location of our unit was perfect, right near the pool.
I also have to mention how nice everyone was the staff, fellow vacationers etc. We have never met friendlier people...people went out of their way to help us. Can't wait to come back!!!
