We LOVED our stay in #6, a studio duple, Jan 23-27, 2012! Every unit has a private screened porch and charcoal grill, also full kitchens, including dish soap. The cottages are in 2 rows running from the road to the beach with a very private feel. Bicycles, beach chairs, and water toys are free, the heated saltwater pool was lovely, towels provided. The beach is spectacular, piles of shells at high and low tide lines are amazing, sunrise and sunset views gorgeous. Flocks of pelicans, ibis, and sandpipers help welcome the dawn. The WiFi was good, and also a computer in the office for guest use (and printing boarding passes). Sanibel Island has great nature preserves, no traffic lights, no neon sign pollution. I would advise stocking up on groceries in Fort Myers. I wish we could have stayed longer!

A repeat trip with others in tow! They fell in love with everything Beachview has to offer. We have plans to do this yearly, if they will let us! It's so centrally located for all we enjoy! It's a great place to hang and make wonderful memories.

My husband and I were on the road traveling to different places from Maine to Florida and we really needed a rest for a few days over the Christmas holiday. We crossed over to Sanibel
Island and stayed three days at the Beachview Cottages.... a perfect spot for a few days of peace and rest.
These attractive cottages are on the edge of a lovely beach and within biking distance of nearby attractions.
We rented cottage # 15 which had just been renovated. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
The staff at Beachview were friendly and helpful with advice about what to see and do.
They offer free bikes and we went off a few times for jaunts around the island.
Sanibel Island is so quiet and pretty. The beaches are beautiful.

The cottages are just right for us--comfortable with all the basics we need--and it is truly pet friendly. We've stayed in a number of units over the years, and some have more space or newer amenities than others, but they've all met our needs. The staff is friendly and helpful, very accommodating and quick to respond when we've needed help (the heater set off the smoke detector on an unusually cold night), advice, or or extra utensils. Beds and furniture have been fine and comfortable in every unit. We always make use of the wonderful porch--great place for eating and reading to the sounds and sights of the beach, which is only a few steps away and is wonderfully quiet and great for shelling. An added bonus are the bicycles that are provided for free to guests. Over the years, we've found many of the guests to be regulars like us--even people without pets, so we're not alone in our fondness for this place. If you're into luxury, this is not the place to stay (no dishwashers but there are microwaves), but if you like a friendly, cozy place in a beautiful environment, this is it.
