We stayed in a "back" building. It doesn't matter. We loved our lanai which over looked the lovely grounds. It is such a short stroll to pool or beach. The pool was never too busy and the beach, well, outstanding. Especially given we left a horrible Winter in Minnesota to be in 80 degree heat, daily sun, lovely.... The unit we stayed in was fine, if not perfect--only not perfect because the decor was not my taste but this is not a problem at all, really. Great kitchen, king bed in master, and twin beds in other bedroom. Clean, quiet, relaxing and oh so many great cafes to try and...Twins baseball Spring training not far away at all. Do know that each unit is owned and, therefore, ultimately up to whoever owns it to furnish the place. Our unit came with bikes, beach chairs, and some beach toys, for example.

We would like to buy here when we grow up to retirement fun.

My family of 4 stayed at Loggerhead Cay over our childrens spring break. Loved the condo, very nice, clean, and right on the beach. Our condo was ground floor so it was extra convenient to just walk out the screened in porch to the beach. Great pool too! The only negative, which some may not care about, was that the pool closed early, right about dusk. Our kids love to swim after it gets dark, but it really wasnt that big of a deal. Would definitely stay here again!!!!!

Home; only better! If I click the heels of my flip flops together 3 times and whisper, "there's no place like Sanibel", can I go back? The moment you unlock the door to this lovely unit you feel welcomed and at home. Head straight to the lanai and your senses are overwhelmed. The sight of the Gulf, the sound of the surf, the smell of salty air, the touch of the breeze and THE TASTE OF THE GOOD LIFE! A good life is what you will live while visiting Sanibel and staying here in Loggerhead Cay! This unit has all the comforts of home and is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked, the dining and living area is open and comfortable, the bedrooms are large with top of the line mattresses, the bathrooms are spacious and clean, but most of all, the view is where dreams are born. Be sure and rent a boat for the day from Adventures in Paradise. They were friendly and helpful. Dinner at Doc Ford's Rum Bar and Grille is a MUST. The BEST food on the Island! Don't be surprised if you get to meet the lovely owner. If your idea of Paradise is relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, swimming with manatees and dolphins, fishing for snook and mangrove snapper, biking to a world famous lighthouse, discovering prized shells, dining on delicious seafood, and retiring for the day in a beautiful condo, well....this place is for you! Sanibel

Appauling! Huge Mistake on my part to book our holiday here when the 4th of July fell in the middle of our 2 week stay. It was completely out of control and the Security Guards glossed over the real issues with comments like: "well, you have to expect some of this during a holiday". That may be so at places I would never take my grandkids to, but I never dreamed it would happen here, at Loggerhead Cay! The people who came onto the property to parte' it up, WERE NOT PAYING GUESTS! I've never stayed anywhere in the world where a non-paying guest had priority!!!!

It was disgusting behavior and the fact that no Security Guard could be found to make a report was outrageous. There were glass beer bottles and cuban sandwiches being passed around in the pool. Worse yet, were the screaming drunks with hoola hoops to entertain the overwhelmed.

Did I mention I was a paying guest? This was not what I would envision being allowed at Loggerhead. OH! dare I forget to mention that the party revelers can come to Loggerhead on the 4th of July and just TAKE YOUR PICK of which parking spot they want. Yes, it is true! You don't have to be a condo resident or guest to park here at Loggerhead! No one will do a thing about it. The words gotten around well, as the parking spaces were full to the brim by afternoon. Those paying condo vacationers who lose thier parking spot on the 4th of July might also be able to lose thier parking space on any given day for that matter.

Shame on Loggerhead for not availing thier real guests with some sort of genuine policing of the property with the authority to enforce the rules set in place. The very rules we relied on when making our plans to come to Loggerhead.
