Home; only better! If I click the heels of my flip flops together 3 times and whisper, "there's no place like Sanibel", can I go back? The moment you unlock the door to this lovely unit you feel welcomed and at home. Head straight to the lanai and your senses are overwhelmed. The sight of the Gulf, the sound of the surf, the smell of salty air, the touch of the breeze and THE TASTE OF THE GOOD LIFE! A good life is what you will live while visiting Sanibel and staying here in Loggerhead Cay! This unit has all the comforts of home and is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked, the dining and living area is open and comfortable, the bedrooms are large with top of the line mattresses, the bathrooms are spacious and clean, but most of all, the view is where dreams are born. Be sure and rent a boat for the day from Adventures in Paradise. They were friendly and helpful. Dinner at Doc Ford's Rum Bar and Grille is a MUST. The BEST food on the Island! Don't be surprised if you get to meet the lovely owner. If your idea of Paradise is relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, swimming with manatees and dolphins, fishing for snook and mangrove snapper, biking to a world famous lighthouse, discovering prized shells, dining on delicious seafood, and retiring for the day in a beautiful condo, well....this place is for you! Appauling! Huge Mistake on my part to book our holiday here when the 4th of July fell in the middle of our 2 week stay. It was completely out of control and the Security Guards glossed over the real issues with comments like: "well, you have to expect some of this during a holiday". That may be so at places I would never take my grandkids to, but I never dreamed it would happen here, at Loggerhead Cay! The people who came onto the property to parte' it up, WERE NOT PAYING GUESTS! I've never stayed anywhere in the world where a non-paying guest had priority!!!!

It was disgusting behavior and the fact that no Security Guard could be found to make a report was outrageous. There were glass beer bottles and cuban sandwiches being passed around in the pool. Worse yet, were the screaming drunks with hoola hoops to entertain the overwhelmed.

Did I mention I was a paying guest? This was not what I would envision being allowed at Loggerhead. OH! dare I forget to mention that the party revelers can come to Loggerhead on the 4th of July and just TAKE YOUR PICK of which parking spot they want. Yes, it is true! You don't have to be a condo resident or guest to park here at Loggerhead! No one will do a thing about it. The words gotten around well, as the parking spaces were full to the brim by afternoon. Those paying condo vacationers who lose thier parking spot on the 4th of July might also be able to lose thier parking space on any given day for that matter.

Shame on Loggerhead for not availing thier real guests with some sort of genuine policing of the property with the authority to enforce the rules set in place. The very rules we relied on when making our plans to come to Loggerhead.

Me and my mom and sister...as well as our 2 small dogs stay here because many of the rooms are pet friendly...which is hard to find on Sanibel. The rooms we have stayed in are pretty nice and well decorated. Clean. The twin beds aren't too comfortable for a 24 and 26 year old but other that it's great! Right on the beach and a great pool. Good area. We've stayed three times I believe.

Sanibel Accomodations, with whom we booked our family vacation, quickly took care to relocate us to Loggerhead Cay - unit 333, after a hiccup at a completely different complex. So many pleasant and lovely things to list about the condo: open and immaculate, wood vaulted ceilings, lots of window light, very nice furnishings, eye pleasing decor, very yummie comfy beds with clean and pretty bed covers, well equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms that sufficed, big closets, fantastic big white fluffy towel suppy, flat screen TVs, games, puzzles, and books, comfy large lanai within viewing range (not gulf front but you can see her in all her glory) of the pristine Gulf. Hurricane shutters that can be lowered during the day to deter the suns heat, blinds worked on both sets of glass doors to the lanai, showers and tubs were clean, shower heads had nice pressure, little extras were great to have: beach umbrella and chair, overhead bedside lamps lent for easy reading, handy dandy laundry basket was used quite a bit, great selection of books and videos, the stereo was awesome to have, the work station in the kitchen was useful, 6 chair dining table with a big leaf was most convenient, and the washer, dryer, quiet dishwasher, cook top stove, frig: all were in working order and clean clean clean. Not only was the condo superb in every way, but the complex itself was just beautiful. As big as it is, it was quiet. The leasurely walks on well manicured brick walkways led to the enormous, and well cared for, swimming pool and beach path. Impeccable landscaping, courteous maintenance personnel (mower stopped his work for us to walk past - did it with a nice smile, too). It was simply and absolutely the perfect place to relax after a year of stresses! Thank you Sanibel Accomodations, Loggerhead Cay, and unit 333; you made our vacation so wonderfully enjoyable and memorable!!
