Rooms are dated and bathroom is small. However everything was very clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable which cancelled out our extremley loud air conditioner. The staff was courteous. The pool was dated but clean. I thought this hotel was pricey for what it offered, but it was oceanfront which appealed to us. It was satisfactory, but I wouldn't stay here again. Courtney's is the restaurant attached to the property. They offer a breakfast for $5.95. The decor and the atmosphere is strange, but the breakfast was very good for what we paid. Our waitress was great and very kind.

Our first time at HI Sanibel. It's all that other guests had stated as well as previous positive reviews. We were warmly welcomed by Peggy(front desk) and well taken care of continuously by her and all other employees. Peggy, we are sure, keeps clients wanting to return!

Visited Sanibel in October. This was the cheapest motel on the island. We were very happy with are stay. The property was well maintained. The rooms were clean and good sized. Front desk was very helpful and the area was very quiet. Its a short walk to the beach, about 100 yards or so. There is a 4ft gator in one of the small ponds on the side of the hotel but we never saw him out of the water. The shelling was absolutely amazing and the hotel provides an outside wash station to clean them off before heading back to your room. There is also a small pool with a bar and a restaurant on the premises.

This hotel was wonderful. The food was always really good. The employees were very nice. This was my first time on Sanibel Island and the hotel helped make my experience enjoyable. I am originally from Wisconsin. Spending my time on the beach and in the pool were activities that I would not normally do, living in Wisconsin. Overall, the hotel was a pleasant experience.
