We wanted a nice couple's retreat by the sea..and this place was totally suited for that purpose. It was beautiful, quiet, great weather, great food( you must try out wheat pancakes, the special strawberry syrup,fritatta and CLAM CHOWDER soup at Lighthouse Cafe..they are heavenly..it is just next to the parrot's nest. Brenda and Leny are both such great guys, extremely helpful and friendly, they took care of everything we needed. They even drove us around as we did not have cars! We had cabin 2 for a week, and each day was great..It's a fully furnished room complete with kitchen and BBQ!! We made stake one night and it was amazing..the sea is a five min walk,,and the place is extremely safe..we vouch for this as we took a walk to the beach at 12 am and it was beautiful moon lit night with no one around for miles..it's like this little private beach of your own..we love this place and would love to go back again..Also if you are wondering what you can do there..this includes cycling around the island at your will( Brenda helped us to get bikes from Billy's Rental,she is such a sweetheart), go see birds at campground, see marvelous sunsets in the beach, take a kayak in Tarpon Bay or visit Ding Darling Wildlife refuge), Mostly I would say, if you are a couple looking for a get away..from busy roads and screaming traffic..this is your place..it's reasonably priced and leaves you alone with your partner to enjoy your heart out. We have been going to the Parrot Nest for the past 6 years and will continue to go as long as it is there. Brenda and Lenny couldn't be better hosts!!! The very best!!! This place is off the beaten path. A well kept secret.! Clean, reasonable, and great access to the beach. Brenda is a phone call away 24/7. A stress free vacation! I can't imagine going anyplace else on the island to stay. Brenda and Lenny are the best. They do everything in their power to make it a wonderful experience. The rooms are comfortable, clean and very quite. It seems like we can't get there quick enough. This has become our home away from home. It's like going home to visit family!!!

Needed to hide away for a few days...someone suggested Sanibel...have never been so took a shot in the dark. In checking on the internet, kept coming back to the Parrot Nest...how grateful I am because it could not have been more perfect...safe, secure, secluded and all with the old Florida charm that seems to be disappearing. Felt like I was visiting old friends...you are made to feel at home and welcome. The location could not have been more perfect...within walking distance of great restaurant, shopping, and ICE CREAM. Cannot WAIT to go back. Thank you, Brenda and Lenny!

Excellent restaurants around, and Delicious Homemade Ice Cream Parlor right around the corner,, I mean, walking distance from the place. Most needed to cool off this summer!
