“As Always... Thank You Guys For Being Here !”
From the time Patrick takes my keys, to the time he brings my car up front when requested, the Hampton has become our home away from home. After residing in St Pete for many many years, I would recomend this downtown Hampton to friends and family without hesitation. I recently overheard some folks there for a family funeral complaining about the value for price, but I could tell, they were gonna complain about anything that didn't come free or government subsedized. This is a great value stay. I've stayed here no less than twenty-five nights in the last couple of years and and I've been to many other hotels from the beaches to Tampa and Daytona. At times, I wish this hotel were on St Pete Beach, but, it's St Pete's downtown nightlife I enjoy, and the location is perfect for this. Patrick parks the car on Thursday or Friday, and brings it back Sunday. We walk the streets for all we need over the weekend.
Complimentary Hampton breakfast, although adequate, is nothing special. I often wonder why they cant kick it up a notch and supply some better quality morning munchies, but surely it's a corporate thing. It's still "good enough", but not for more than 2 days straight. Remember it's broke down promptly at 9:59 and not a minute later. Not so kind to us late night owl's sleeping off the prior evenings poison. Thank goodness coffee is available later on.
The clean accomidations, location and comfy bedding keep us comming back and the staff remembering us is a really nice touch. My room requests are usually met (if available) without upcharges which also equates to me spending more nights here when we could have gone elsewhere. In turn for them not upcharging me ,they get more of our money in the long run (ok with us).
The only thing I would change is an extended breakfast time. But that's not likely to happen. An occasional comp waiting in my room as simple as a couple bottles of water, candy, or a snack item would be a nice gesture recognizing my loyalty and thousands of Hilton Honors points we have accumulated would probably lock us in forever. But they have us hooked anyhow! LoL. Thank you guys for putting up with us wild ones!!!

Room Tip: Be sure you are not calling the 34 street Hampton for a reservation. This is the downtown Hampton.
