My husband found this place about four years ago when he was playing in a tennis tournament in St. Pete. We have been coming here at least once each year and spend a week. The victorian, with beautiful gardens and a wrap around porch, is charming. Nancy is flexible and accommodating with all of her guests. We have recommended La Veranda to a numb er of our friends. We love the king-size beds and the bathrooms are larger than in most B&Bs. The location is perfect and an easy walk to a number of near-by restaurants, the pier, and interesting shops and attractions.

Nancy has never been anything but professional and actually very engaging.
Breakfast hours have always been (at least since 2004) spelled out, there' always coffee pased the 930 hr (til 10am). Because I have been a long time visitor I have even goten to know the housekeeping staff, and they are almost compulsive when it comes to cleanliness and neatness. I am sorry for the people who were not happy with LaVeranda, but there is no pretense in presentation of the manor. What you see on line is what you get.

And Nancy and her staff are always welcoming and professional, especially Jack (the cat), the official greater and mascot.

From the first time I spoke with Nancy(owner), I felt it was the right choice. Nancy was very helpful and friendly. She made every effort to accomadate our needs. La Veranda is a well maintained one hundred year old home. The breakfast on the veranda was great. The location of the B&B was a huge advantage getting to and from all the points of interest in St.Pete. Thanks for a memorable stay.

The room was large and clean, the breakfast was excellent.
We really appreciated the various tips that we received for our dinner and excursions.
