My wife and I stayed here from 9/21/10 until 9/25/10 and from the moment we walked into the resorts' office we were treated with great service. You may say 'well customer service is there job' and you would be correct but the difference here is that it felt extremely genuine not just someone going through the motions. The woman who checked us in, Lisa, was great. She really treated us like family.

Our room faced the gulf and was set up nicely and very clean. For that matter the entire resort was well maintained. The view from the balcony was priceless, the beach & water did not disappoint.

The resorts location worked well for us. We like John's Pass and it was a very short walk to restaurants & shopping. Lisa came through with a restaurant recommendations, Thai Am 2 was excellant for dinner & Lisa's Cafe (no relation) was a great breakfast stop as well. Try the biscuits & sausage gravy, excellant.

We will definately be vacationing here again! :)

The photos on the web site are deceiving. The room was small and way over-priced. The room was very clean and you could tell it had been renovated but not worth the rate charged at all. The bed was a double bed with a cheap mattress. The pool, which was very small, had hours from dawn til dusk. That is a big turn off for us, we like to quietly swim til at least 10, sometimes later. They did let us ckeckout late, $10 per hour after 11:00am, and that was a nice option. This was just not a $179.00 +tax kind of experience.

We enjoyed staying at the Barefoot Resort. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room overlooked the beach which was beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. We enjoyed cooking steaks on the grill. The room has a refrigerator and microwave. A basket was provided in case we wanted fresh towels and linens. Otherwise, they didn't provide daily cleaning service and that was fine with me.

The only critical comment would be the bed was not very comfortable. I hope they will upgrade the mattresses in the future. We will definitely go back!

We stayed at barefoot beach for four nights. We loved it. Even though we were barely in the room. The pool area was nice and clean. They don't clean the rooms everyday. They didn't come in our room once. We had a basket to sit outside and They would give us clean towels. The staff was friendly. We are definitely going back again. We might make this hotel our place to stay every year. It is located close to Johns pass, which has a lot of stuff to do.
