My mum and I stayed here in November 2011, I must be the first to say what a lovely hotel it is!
We asked for a gulf view room and we got the 5th floor, which looks straight out into the gulf.
The room was lovely, fresh bedding everyday, nice comfy beds and the bathroom was spotless!
I have stayed here now over the past few years and being honest I would not stay at anyother hotel on st Pete beach.
The staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem
5* hotel and great location!
You won't be disappointed!!

My wife and I have stayed at this location every November for about the past 10 years. Rooms are nice and clean, staff is helpful and friendly, great outdoor pool with a beach bar. The location is great for beach walking - - restaurants - - shopping. If you're expecting a "high end" resort with frills, this isn't the spot for you. If you're looking for a nice, comfortable, easy going place then this is a good choice.

i stayed at this nice hotel at st. pete beach a few days ago and really enjoyed my stay there. all of the staff was so kind,caring, and helpful in every way. if something was wrong, they made it right. the room was so nice. the bed was so soft and comfortable. the carpet was new and pretty. loved the big pool, but wished the pool opened at 8 am instead of 9 am for lap swimming and before the sun shines on the pool area. i will be back at this nice hotel and tell others about it.

We love St Pete Beach and have stayed in a few different places there. The HoJo is the only one though that we have returned to time after time. It's in an unbeatable location on the beach and is very reasonably priced considering. It might not be brand spanking new and is in the process of being painted and spruced up a bit but its location more than makes up for any shortcomings. On our most recent visit, we had the top floor corner room facing the Gulf Coast. It was brilliant and opening the curtains every morning to such a spectacular view was pretty special.

I suppose it's a basic hotel but the staff are friendly, efficient and can't do enough for you. The Splash Bar is brilliant with cheap, cold beer and an ok selection of snacks and meals and is just on the beach , seconds walk from the beach!
