Just back from a wonderful weeks' stay at Gulf Gate. We had unit number 303...it was very comfortable. Large open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge. Flat screen TV in lounge with as many channels as you could wish for. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully functional and there was a washer/dryer situated in a cupboard off the dining area (always a plus for beach towels etc).
We had a one bedroomed apartment..my daughter took the sofa bed in the living room...she said it was very comfortable. I took the bedroom...super king bed, older style tv (not that it mattered) and walk in dressing room. The whole unit was immaculate and the bedroom was no exception. Extremely comfortable bed!!
We had a full bathroom with bath and shower and two sinks, lots of cupboard space. There was also a small toilet room, again with plenty of storage space. The layout of both bathrooms was designed very well..maximum usage of available space to ensure convienience.
On to the balcony...oh boy!! What a View!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You couldn't get closer to that most beautiful beach...sitting out in the morning and at night was such a joy. Amazing location!!
GG is a mins walk from shops, restruants and bars. Perfect . I only took the car out once in the evening..so easy to walk everywhere. We had an undercover parking spot allocated to us..perfect'
There is a pool and bbq area but I didn't use that because I love the beach and headed straight there every day . The pool is small but ideal for folk with young kids, I saw a lot of families having fun at the pool. I hired sunloungers from Waverunners, right infront of the condos..run by lovely people, the two lads who worked there were just so nice and so friendly (as was the gentleman who owns the outfit). $15 for two loungers and parasol. They offer jet-ski's and sail boats but I didn't indulge :)

All in all..a great value for money accomodation. I would return there anytime..loved it!!

This was our second time back in as many years. We rented the same unit, 402. I finally got to meet Anna Maria!! She is the sweetest lady you can imagine!! Loved her!! We had great weather. We are already booked for 2 weeks next year!! I love this place!!

2 couples. Stayed in unit 502. Excellent! BEST spot in the building. Very spacious, clean & kitchen fully stocked with kitchen utensils, dishes, cooking pans, etc.(No food or staples)Right on beach so you get gorgeous sunsets & view of beach. Has everything you could ask for in a condo unit. On balcony you get shade in morning & sun in afternoon. You get linens, beach towels, soap & previous people left beach chairs, water floats & you can ask for small box Tide to do your laundry. We left our beach chairs as well since couldn't get them home on plane. So before buying anything, wait & see what is in unit first. VERY clean, large walk in closets, lounge chairs on balcony. Pool area very nice & cleaned every morning. 3 large Bar-b-q's & covered area with plenty of chairs to sit. Check in & out stress free & no hidden costs. Fred was great to dela with! Right in front of building on beach are Wave-Runner rentals. Best $$ on the beach. Lots of fun!
Cannot speak highly enough about this unit. WIll never go anywhere else on St.Petes Beach! Can walk to Publix (grocery store), drug store within 5 min.
Right by Publix is Dolphin Sunset Cruises. On sail boat & see LOTS of dolphins & sunsets like you have never seen before! You can BYOB or they offer pop & water.
For dinners, try Crabby Bills for their $25 seafood bucket! Clams, mussels, crab & shrimp- enough for 2 people for $25. Nice to sit on deck for sunsets or plenty of room indoors & right beside resort! Also try Skidders, across road about 5 min.walk north for great meals & $. Ask for Dimitri! We had prime rib & flouder stuffed w.crab, 2 wines, 2 beers for $52.For beach bar try Bongos for great drinks & live entertainment. Bout a 5 min.walk along beach.
This building nice for beach & close enough to get to bars, restaurants etc. Just the perfect mix.

We stayed here for 14 nights with our young kids. We found the unit to be excellent. The staff are wonderful, so nice and very welcoming. We have stayed in several places along St Pete but Gulf Gate really shines for us. Its ideal for families with small kids, quiet and great access to the beach. Can't wait to return!!
