My boyfriend and I stayed at Pasa Tiempo for 2 nights to celebrate my 30th birthday. I had a party the weekend before, so on my actual birthday, I wanted to be somewhere pretty, relaxing, and romantic. I did a lot of internet research to pick the perfect place and finally decided on Pasa Tiempo. It turned out to be a great decision because Pasa Tiempo was EVERYTHING we wanted.
The Grounds: First, the property is very pretty! It is a small vacation property- great for a relaxing get-a-way. There’s lots of greenery …it looks like a small piece of paradise. Upon entering the gates, you really feel as if you’ve entered another world. There are lots of running fountains and soft music playing overhead which adds to the romantic ambiance. Best of all, no one under 21 is allowed, which helps to keep the atmosphere peaceful and serene. It is the PERFECT couples spot, though anyone looking for peace and relaxation would enjoy it. My honey and I felt like we were the only people there, even though we knew we were not because of other cars outside. We enjoyed the heated pool together one evening and didn’t mind having it all to ourselves one bit! Pasa Tiempo sits right on the water (the bay, not the beach), and there are tables set up so you can dine or just enjoy your travel mate’s company right by the water.
Suites: The suites are large and VERY tastefully decorated. The pictures online do not do the suites or the property justice...the pictures are nice, but it looks awesome in person! The suites are your home away from home and equipped with utensils in the kitchen (but the kitchens are for warming food, not full-out cooking), nice robes, and other thoughtful touches. The bed was super comfy and the room was immaculately clean! The TV is a bit dated…but who comes to a place like this for the TV?? The room also has a lot of menus, so you can choose nearby places to dine that fit your tastes.
Staff: The staff is super friendly. When we first arrived, one of the residents greeted us and knew we were coming. Later, we met Ivonne, who is very personable! She welcomed us with champagne and gave us thorough info about things we may enjoy in the area. There are thoughtful touches all around the property, such as Bailey’s to enjoy in the evening and beach items free for the guests to use.
One thing to note: Previous reviewers spoke of breakfast, but Pasa Tiempo is now categorized as a boutique hotel instead of a bed-and-breakfast, so no breakfast is served.
I highly recommend Pasa Tiempo and am looking forward to my next stay there!
