Options are very, VERY limited in St Cloud. VERY limited. There are only a handful of places to stay and eateries and literally nothing to do there. We went to visit friends. I think I would have had a better time pitching a tent in their yard.
People were really nice, place was clean but rather unwelcoming. Bare bones, no frills at all accommodations. Building is made from concrete block walls and tile floor. The bathroom shower curtain wasn't anywhere near long enough and not realizing this, the bathroom floor was flooded and it ran into the room. Good thing it's all tile.
The beds were horribly hard and uncomfortable. This is important to me, as I rent a room to SLEEP. Without a doubt the worst bed I have ever laid in. Every single morning we were woke up to ridiculous noise outside the room. Since the rooms are so hard and hollow, it echoed as well. Between the leaf blowing and the pressure washing, there was no sleeping in, ever. I guess since they have a "you book it, you bought it' no refund policy, you're stuck unless you want to eat your money. There was no need to use such loud equipment that early in the morning.
If you're looking for a cheap place on a lake to experience the great outdoors,, this is the place for you. If you want pay per view, carpet, a comfy bed and quiet, go somewhere else.
