Motel is 2-story with outside entries, no elevator. I asked for very quiet room on first floor, got it with no problem. Insect chatter was louder than road noise at night.

Quality was what I expect from this hotel chain--safe area, clean, comfortable room, clean and attractive public areas, 'fridge and microwave in room, easy check-in and -out procedures, competent and pleasant staff. Breakfast is adequate though not special.

For the price per night with senior discount, this property is a bargain.

Note, it is several miles from St Augustine, but unless traveler stays right in town (awful traffic and noisy at night) it is necessary to drive to town and pay for parking every day, so the distance was not an issue.

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway, so we decided to take a trip to St Augustine. We had Choice Reward Points that were expiring and this was the only hotel that fit the point range. Upon arrival we were surprised and disappointed to find the room access was from the exterior. The photos on the website had not displayed the side of the hotel. We checked in and headed to our room. The room smelled musty and the carpet looked less than clean. The king-sized bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were more reminiscent of lumpy throw pillows than bed pillows. This hotel boasts a "Deluxe Hot Breakfast" which consisted of Belgian waffles, biscuits with sausage gravy, boiled eggs, cold cereal, toast, mini muffins, and bagels. Hardly what you would call deluxe. By the coffee station was a canister marked 'half and half' which was actually milk. If the night had not been a reward night, we would not have stayed. I have saved the icing on the cake for last. It is TOTALLY unacceptable that in the supposedly clean shower was a used bar of soap from the previous guests and a half used bottle of shampoo. Would not recommend this hotel...
