Historic hotel with unique character. Easy walk to old city and all major attractions. Clean large rooms. Hotel tries to be a top luxury hotel. Close but not quite there. Staff could use more guest service training. Not bad, just not top tier. We would go back if price is right but it's not worth top dollar. Still one of the best choices in the old city.

Beautiful hotel that will take your breath away. It was Christmas time, and we were on our honeymoon. The staff was warm and friendly.

The sheets on the bed were not comfy, and rather rough. The walls are thin as well.

What an experience! I toured the Casa Monica to find the perfect room to host my daughters 11 year birthday party. We expected 9 - 10 people, so I wanted to get a rather large suite. We booked the largest suite they had, which included a full kitchen. Due to circumstances out of everyone's control, we had to take the next smallest suite, The St. Frances Suite. I am so glad we did. The girls had a room of their own, plenty of room to run around in the parlor, and my husband and I had our escape pad in the connected bedroom upstairs. The staff was excellent from the General Manager to the front desk and wait staff in the restaurant. The morning brunch was amazing and something I will do again soon! If I could rate this a 10, I would! I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a romantic getaway, family trip, or business. It caters to everyone! Even our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Katie!

The Casa Monica is a Multi Million Dollar Renovated Hotel in St. Augustine. In a town where you have to look past the old to appreciate the old, not with the Casa Monica. Kessler's team has lovingly returned this Resort to its former glory, while respecting the history of the property. The Casa Monica became a Courthouse for several decades before being converted back to a resort. We stayed in a narrow King Suite on the second floor, the room had that signature "Kessler" look. Valet at the hotel, it is cheap ($22) and the only parking intown (that is safe) is for a fee anyway. The rooms are completely up to date and modern and property includes all the luxury touches you would expect, from a Marriott Property. In addition to affordable parking, the hotel bar, breakfast and dinner are also excellent and price right. The Sunday brunch, is one of the best I have ever had and is less than $30. Ok, problems? Yes of-course, the check-in, did not go smooth and Autograph Collection properties are always slacking, always. Also the bar stops serving at 11pm on a Saturday night... that is crazy! The excuse, is that they do not want to keep up the hotel guest.. Really 11pm. The bar was full of people and I did not hear a thing from my room all weekend. The pool is nice and the gym is adequate, there is no concierge to speak of, but there is plenty of shopping and dining within a short walk.
