“Convenient Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We recently stayed here for three nights and although it is not located in the historical area, it is close enough to walk there. The desk clerks and manager were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate with various breads, muffins, bagels, cereals, juice, fresh fruit (oranges and bananas), and hard-boiled eggs, and, of course, COFFEE. The eggs were still in their shell and perfectly cooked. The price paid was a good value.

The only down side was the noisy HVAC unit; in order to hear the TV, we needed the volume a little higher than usual. However, at bedtime, it provided some good white noise. We would definitely stay here again when we return to St. Aug.

“Disappointed”

I had read the reviews and thought that I could not go wrong. The room we were given (214) had a horrible smell but we were so tired and it was so late we just took it. The following day all of us woke up with a sored throat and later in the day got a fever, don't know if he had anything to do with the smell. The first day, after being out all day sightseeing, we came back to the hotel at 7:30pm and the room had not been made. Asked for clean towels and linens and did the beds myself. Location is ok not the best but I knew what I was getting myself into since we did have a car. The worst was the moldy smell and the fact that it was next to the ice machine, very noisy.

“Best Value in St. Augustine for the Holiday of Lights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

My husband and I were in St. Augtustine for Thanksgiving and to view the magicial holiday ligthts in the historic district. We were given a manger's special of $60. which was a best value for this newly renovated hotel. Our room on the second floor was well decorated with a good T.V., refrigerator, and coffeemaker and very convenient to the historic district. Exceptionally clean, friendly staff, and a nice free breakfast. Who could ask for anything more?

“Great location and pleasant staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

I really liked this hotel so I ended up staying two more days than I originally planned. Staff was pleasant and accomodating. The only complaint I have was that the access to the lobby with the computer and printer was not available from Midnight to 6am which might be an issue for other business travelers that work late into the night. Free breakfast was extremely nice with lots of protein options (yogurt & hard boiled eggs) as well as fresh waffles, cereals, fruit and muffins. Room was clean and well maintained. A very pleasant stay. Kudos to all the staff and management.

Room Tip: I was right up front and close to the lobby. It worked well for me and was quiet.
