“B&B or M-O-T-E-L ?”

Buyer beware! There are actually two Cozy Inns, although they are owned by the same folks. One is a quaint old house and the other is a renovated flop house 1950's era motel across the street. I'll give the owners credit, they did a bang up remodeling job on the motel, but they didn't have much to start with. The rooms are tiny and most sit right on the main highway through town, so you'll get lots of road noise in your room 24-7. And don't expect any, and I mean any, amenities in the motel; no motel style breakfast, no B&B style wine and cheese tastings, and if you want ice you'll have to hike down to the 7-11 to get it!
St Augustine is full of B&Bs, hotels, and motels in all price ranges, so do your TA homework carefully. I usually take these reviews as gospel when making my travel plans, and that's why I chose this place, but this time I've got to disagree with all the great reviews this property has gotten.

“An excellent place to stay at in St. Augustine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We visited St. Augustine over the Christmas holidays in 2011, and stayed at Cozy Inn Townhouse, the quality and service is top class, all the amenities are included. The wifi is excellent, very strong signal, bed is very comfortable, overall an excellent experience. One negative is that it would be nice to have a 2nd bathroom and a bigger shower stall in the current bath.

“BEST 2 DAYS I HAVE EVER SPENT ANYWHERE!”

This is the nicest place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms are impeccably clean, the staff make you feel like family, the rates cant be beat and you get so much for the price! It felt like being home away from home. I will use again and will definately recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: we stayed in one of the 2 story town houses, and on another trip stayed in one of the single rooms...

“A Splendidly 'Cozy' Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

A week ago, my husband and I spent 2 nights in one of the Honeymoon Suites at The Cozy Inn in St. Augustine, FL. We were very warmly greeted at check in and the room was impeccable, so clean you could eat off the floor. The free wireless internet and cable TV were an added bonus and not to mention the beautiful view from that gorgeous porch! The huge garden tub and fluffy his/her bath robes made us literally not want to leave the room all weekend. We did come out to eat at the local restaurants and even received 10% off of our meal with a coupon given to us when we checked into the hotel. The best thing about our stay is that this was our 2nd visit and The Cozy Inn once again lived up to and even exceeded our expectations. I HIGHLY recommend staying at The Cozy Inn anytime you are in the St. Augustine area. It definitely will be well worth your time.

I had heard about the cozy inn when I've booked my vacations in St Augustine and always opted for a hotel. Decided to give it a shot as a change of pace on the last few days. Really glad I did. Walking up to it you think you'll have to sacrifice something. After all...it looks like an older motel. Totally decieving. Everything is new.. clean... Taken care of. Great attention to detail. Stephanie even gave my friend and I a tour in some of their other units. Both the townhouses and their giant suite are equally gorgeous with places to sit and eat, kitchen, big bed. The smallest rooms are a bit tiny, but you shouldn't be on a vacation with people you don't like anyway. I have to recommend it, even if you might book it on a week I want to go...
