The best reason to stay here is the location! Walking distance to all the historic attractions. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast okay. They do charge $5. per night to park your car.

Good value for great location. Literally two short blocks away from the "oldest everything" and a five minute walk from Castillo de San Marcos. Trolley stop and tour kiosk across the street. Room typical of a 3 star hotel. Clean. I felt a distinct smell when I walked in but couldn't identify it and quickly forgot about it, or got used to it, it was not significant.

Wi-Fi and one computer in the lobby with Internet access for anyone to use.

Free breakfast is blah but serves it's function. Very humble setup. A couple of schaffing dishes w/ scrambled (imitation?) eggs, sausages, self help waffle maker and toaster, coffee and muffins, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. They make an effort and it's appreciated.

It worked for us and certainly would do it again.

Satyed her with my sisters for the B&B Historic Inn tour Dec 10/11. Its a very average hotel, close to historic area, easy walk, clean beds but the sheets didnt fit. Breakfast ok, usual continental stuff. Fairly quiet but i use a sound machine and sleeping pill so i didnt notice. Staff freindly. Rooms smelled fine and looked clean. A bit overpriced and i think if you look elsewhere you might find a better deal in the historic area however they are all pricey. All the free hot tea and coffee you want all night. Try Miss Caroline across the street for lunch. Very good. There are so many ways to explore st augustine from here. Great location.

I stayed 3 nights on vacation and was surprised my room was in such disrepair. I walked into the room and it had no luggage rack, front desk went to the vacant room next to it and couldn't find a luggage rack either in that room. He said he would have to hunt for one and showed up later with one. The desk chair had to be replaced because it wouldn't raise from being all the way down. TV remote was missing the battery cover. Big gouges in the accent wall by the bed. Hair dryer didn't work, tried resetting the GFI to no avail. Toilet seat hinge had caps broken off covering the toilet seat screws. Regardless of what time I went for breakfast the round scrambed eggs were like rubber and sausage was hard from being left too long in the warmers. I'm a general manager of a hotel in northern Michigan and was very surprised. I just expected more and was let down. I don't know if my room (101) was typical of the rest of the hotel, and if it is, then Mr. Patel should seriously focus on getting new maintenance staff or hiring one if you don't have one. The room I was in should never have been rented to the public and should have been on maintenance until brought up to Choice's brand standards. Also, wanted to use the outdoor pool but maintenance failed to clean the leaves floating in it. The plus is that it is close to Ripleys, Fort and other attractions. This could be a great hotel in the Choice brand if management kept a better eye on maintenance.
