“Great Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

My husband and I spent our 19th anniversary weekend at the Alexander house. The location was perfect -- parked the car and walked everywhere. Bonnie was extremely friendly. Everything was very clean -- probably nicer towels and sheets than most hotels. Had private outside entrance to our room which was great for going in late at night -- had wine outside our room and coffee early the next morning. Breakfast was different but great. Her Bonnie biscuits were delicious. Will definitely go back again.

“Very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

My wife and I stayed here during Xmas break in 2011 and we had a very comfortable stay here. The inn is walking-distance close to everything around St. Augustine. The amenities have that personal touch lacking with the chains. They provide coffee in the mornings and something stronger (and alcoholic) during evenings. Breakfast was superb and very nice to meet people from other parts of the country in that family-style setting at the center table.

“Wedding Ceremony, Reception, and Honeymoon- all wrapped up into one!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My husband and I were married at the Alexander Homestead on 1/21/12. I can't say enough nice things about the interaction that Bonnie and I had prior to our visit and also during. Bonnie was excellent in maintaining contact with a type A bride (that's me) and arranging all the small details. We were married on the porch and I can tell you Bonnie as the notary to the ceremony far superseded my expectations. She delivered the most special ceremony with hand selected quotes and all. I am still getting compliments of how wonderful of a job she did with the actual ceremony and honestly I didn't even know she was doing it. It almost felt like we were having an actual ceremony in a church. We stayed in the Queen Ann and had the most fantastic private porch where we hung out with family and friends. Bonnie even arranged for a private carriage tour which was amazing. (We suggest asking for Wayne/and Prince the Horse) For those brides looking for a small intimate wedding that is quaint and makes you feel special- The Alexander Homestead is definitely the place!!! The cake was beautiful, the flowers were beautiful, the caterer that we hired (A Step Above Catering Company- Cyndi) was amazing, and the guitarist (Rick Kuncicky) did a fantastic job. All in all, we spent less than $2,000 for our wedding, reception, and honeymoon which was fantastic!!!! Thank you so much Bonnie, we will be back for all anniversaries. Love- Julia and Michael!!! (BTW, I'm going to attempt Bonnie biscuits tomorrow, lol will let you know how they turn out.

Room Tip: The Queen Ann has a terrific private porch that we just LOVED!

“25th Anniversary getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and Bonnie made you feel right at home. The B&B is within walking distance of almost the entire historic district, yet on a quiet back street. We would definately recommend this experience to everyone.

“Anniversary trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Bonnie is absolutely terrific. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had the best time. The rooms are ornate and cozy. Loved the Jaccuzi tub. Breakfast was first class as well. This B & B is walking distance to the fort and many shops and downtown yet far enough away from the noise and busy streets. Perfect location. We plan on returning and staying here again in the near future.

Room Tip: Alexander room had private screened in porch. On the bottom floor but quiet enough for a good nights...
