“Like home away from home”

If you are planning a trip to Port St. Lucie, Florida and still want to feel at home, stay at Castle Pine Golf Villas. My family and I were pleased with the comfort and location of this property. We're not hard to please and we couldn't ask for a better stay we had there at Castle Pine Golf Villas. We cooked our on food and enjoyed the space, sharing with a party of four. Everything is less then 5 minutes away. We definetly have our place to stay everytime we visit Port St. Lucie.

“Great for golf, otherwise not-so-great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2011

Castle Pines Golf Villa is located within a gated community. At first glance, it looks like you're driving into a cookie-cutter suburban neighborhood - a "home" away from home. The villas themselves are quite clean, and the community pool appeared decent. I would recommend this location for people visiting PGA Village.

However, for those who might be passing through the area and wanting a quick night's stay, or traveling for business, I would not recommend this location. First: the office where you check in is NOT located on-site and operates only from 9am-5pm. If you arrive later than that to check in, you have to call for after-hours help. The same applies for the check-out procedure. If you arrive after-hours and don't have a GPS, good luck finding your villa in the dark! Second: There is a fee to use the Internet ($3.95 for 15 min, or a daily fee) and no continental breakfast (though our unit did contain a microwave and mini-fridge), which makes this less convenient for business travelers. Finally: Since the Golf Villas are located in a gated community, there is nothing - literally nothing - nearby except other villas. Great if you're there for golf and want a relaxing environment. Not-so-great if you want to head over to a restaurant at the end of the day or explore the area on foot.

“Not for business travelers”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2010

Three business men arriving at 5pm found office had closed so had to call attendant to check-in. Company CC (used for booking) had already been charged due to "late arrival"- on a Tuesday at 5pm??
Deluxe room is small, internet sketchy, and TV is the size of your laptop screen.
For a business stay of 2 nights, not the standard for business travelers. Probably better in larger suites and for a pleasure trip.

“Good place for Mets spring training”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2008

We were in town for Mets spring training and were looking for something cheaper than the few hotels near Tradition Field. Castle Pines Golf Villas are privately owned condos in the huge PGA Village development about 1.5 miles from Tradition Field. Traffic can get backed up as there are few ways over I-95 to get to the ball park. If you stay here allow plenty of time to get to the park.
We rented a "deluxe room" which had two queen beds, a small kitchenette with microwave, undercounter fridge and small sink. The room is very comfortable. We stayed for 8 days and could have used more than the 3 glasses we found in a cupboard.
My one complaint is that the daily housekeeping is minimal. This is not just like being in a hotel. You get clean towels and trash removed plus bed made, but not changed sheets. I did ask the housekeeper for our unit if we could please get our floor swept after a trip to the beach left sand on the floor. She was very nice and did this for us although it is not included. So don't expect your tub, sink, floor attended to every day.
Other than that our stay was nice. We never could get the card key to work at the security gate and finally gave up trying to get over to the the management office to get a new one.
I would stay here again for a Spring Training trip.

  • Liked — Proximity to Tradition Field
  • Disliked — Minimal daily housekeeping, communication with mgt office.
