Been visiting Daytona for 30 years. This newer hotel is located near enough to everything. Right off 95, or 5 minutes to I4 - easy on/off. Dunlawton Blvd is another road you can take directly to the beach, but not through the middle of all the insane areas backed up during events. It's in a safe well-lit suburban shopping plaza with a Target, Panera Bread, Chick-Fil-A and more all walking distance from the hotel. It's a good safe area. Brand new Police Station and City Center is 5 minutes away.
Hotel has a nice little indoor pool with a separate jacuzzi. Relatively large modern rooms, with a practical set-up - nice computer friendly desk. Comfortable beds, black out curtains, micro, fridge, large shower- tub. My king room had an easy chair, and digital flat screen TV, lots of good lighting. Everything was very clean.
Could see I95 from room through some partially concealing landscaping, but didn't hear a peep of traffic.
Only a few drawbacks - a fairly unimpressive continental breakfast, missing a few items usually at other LaQuintas. Pastries and bagels very pasty - maybe day old?. Rooms had slight chemical smell, not noticeable after running the air. One pokey elevator - could be a problem if hotel was really busy. One thing that really bothered my wife and I was having the cleaning staff park themselves literally right outside our door - they knocked and tried entering twice before 10:00 am. Checkout is 11:00 - really annoyed us. The were still waiting and stared at us when we gave up and left about 10:15. Told the desk staff and they said they would address the problem, seemed sincere.
Still a good, clean, comfortable value
