We visit the sands every year for at least 1 month. We love this place the location is beautiful. Staff goes out of their way to accomendate all of your needs, and has always been very friendly. I think it is very personable when the hotel staff calls you by your name it feels like one big happy family here.The Hotel rooms have always been very clean and the beds are comfortable. The service that you receive at this hotel is better than any room in downtown chicago. So I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler, you will surely get a bang for your buck.

Recently, my family and I stayed at Sands Harbor Hotel and Marina in Pompano Beach, FL. We were treated like royalty from the moment we entered the hotel through the entire stay! My husband and I took our daughter and her boyfriend with us for their spring break getaway and our older daughter, along with her husband and our 7 month old grandson joined us. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the intercoastal waterway watching the boats go by and looking over at the ocean were so relaxing! The patio restaurant had wonderful foods and excellent drinks ( I highly recommend the rum runners!) and Joe's restaurant downstairs had some of the best fresh seafood I have ever eaten. Housekeeping was able to clean our rooms around our schedule and the front desk staff were so courteous and friendly when helping us to find things to do and attractions to see. When we let them know our grandson would be coming, we were offered the option of moving to a larger room and the crib was placed in the room within hours of us telling the staff that he would be arriving the next morning! The rooms are clean, the price is reasonable and the staff is wonderful! We stayed in an efficiency room and also had the attached room and it was so convenient that our family could be together! Many hours were spent on the balcony and even my grandson enjoyed the sights that we were afforded. The pool was heated and the pool area was clean and were enjoyed by my family. The beach is a just a short walk from the hotel, as well as places to purchase meals, groceries, homemade ice cream, souvenirs and any other item you may need during your stay. We were able to rent a boat at the marina to further explore the intercoastal and could even take a lighthouse tour right from the hotel! The Sands offers package deals which are reasonably priced for any budget! We have visited the Sands many times before this visit, including during the annual Seafood Festival and will continue to do so. Whether you stay here before going out or returning from a cruise or for your entire vacation, activity surrounding the Sands is geared towards all ages no matter what time of year you visit! I highly recommend this resort!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Sands for a long weekend. We attended the NFL Pro Bowl in Miami but were very glad we opted to stay at this hotel. We had a wonderful room with an excellent view of both the inter-coastal waterway and the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was both friendly and professional. The hotel has a patio bar and restaurant for a more laid back dining experience and also an indoor restaurant and bar that is more formal. The atmosphere is awesome with boats coming and going and even stopping by for a drink or bite to eat. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool for swimming. The beach is a five minute walk away with a picturesque fishing pier and a cute playground also very nearby. We also appreciated a nearby Publix for snacks and drinks. Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely be back for another stay (hopefully in the near future!).

We can't wait to return this March. The hotel was very well taken care of for an older property, and the rates were very fair for a room with such an amazing view. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and to shopping, and liked the fact that the hotel is located in a quieter area where we could relax without all the hubbub we have experienced in hotels in ft. lauderdale. The food at the patio bar was good and reasonably priced for lunch, and you cannot beat the seafood at Joe's Grille also located in the hotel. Both restaurants had very friendly staff willing to go "the extra mile" to make our trip special. Shame we had to leave after only a week to return to NH. We are anxiously awaiting our return this March, maybe for a longer time?!
